Happening now in #Kigali #Rwanda The country review of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly, and Regular Migration offers a key moment for stakeholders from the Gov't, CSOs, private sector, and development partners to convene to take stock and advance implementation of the GCM.

The conference & more broadly the work supported by the #MigrationMPTF in 🇵🇰 illustrates the integrated, multi-partner approach envisaged under the Global Compact for Migration, particularly Objective 9 on strengthening the transnational response to smuggling of migrants.

As a Global Compact #ForMigration Champion, 🇹🇭 continues to advance dignity & rights of all migrants. @UNMigNetwork hosted a workshop to strengthen Network's capacity to support 🇹🇭 in leading inclusive migration governance & shaping a future where migration works for everyone.

Alongside key partners and government stakeholders in Abuja today, we convened the Project Steering Committee meeting for the Migration Multi-Partner Trust Fund-funded Strengthening Fact-Based and Data-Driven Migration Governance and Management in Nigeria initiative.

Under the #MigrationMPTF JP, @FAO & @IOM_India held a Gender, Youth & Child-Sensitivity Training in Berhampur, Odisha, addressing gender issues, climate–migration linkages, and child-sensitive planning while strengthening capacities for inclusive, climate-resilient communities.

IOM, @StatsGhana, @ndpcgh & @UNMigNetwork Ghana met for the 4th Data Technical Working Group meeting under the EU-funded #ATUU – A Ghanaian European Safe & Prosperous People’s Mobility Project- to review migration data, refine indicators & advannce the #GCM Monitoring Framework.

🌏 The #LabourMobility for Sustainable Development programme, which united 🇫🇯🇰🇮🇹🇻🇸🇧🇻🇺 to promote fair recruitment, decent work & climate resilience, has recently concluded. 🤝 Funded by the #MigrationMPTF, implemented by @IOMAsiaPacific & @ILOAsiaPacific. #COP30

On 29 Oct 2025, @IOMSLandMV, with @UNMigration, hosted a workshop in Malé 🇲🇻 to advance the #GCM—led by Kristin Parco, COM, @IOMSLandMV & joined by govt representatives & civil society to initiate a national migration roadmap ahead of #IMRF2026🌍

Over two days, IOM Libya brought together the Government of Libya, @UNinLibya and INGOs partners under the @UNMigNetwork to strengthen #MigrationGovernance and disuss expansion of safe, regular migration pathways. The workshop was supported by IOM Development Fund (@IOMDevFund).

🇺🇳in🇮🇷 A pleasure joining @UN_Iran RC @Stefan_Priesner in the National @UNMigNetwork meeting. Led by RC, @UNDPIran & @IOM_Iran, the National UNMN reaffirmed joint commitment to enhanced #migration governance for #Iran & inclusive solutions. Wishing Stefan success in India!

A milestone for migration governance in 🇸🇱! #SierraLeone launches its National Implementation Plan for the #GCM & establishes a National Coordination Mechanism on migration, advancing safe, orderly & regular migration for all. 👏 Thanks to funding by the 🇪🇺.

Happening tomorrow: the Champion Countries & Donors Dialogue will show how #GCM commitments are turned into action through National Implementation Plans, with 🇪🇨 Ecuador presenting its plan linking national & local governance and diaspora participation. Thanks to @EU funding.
