As the co-chair of round table 1 at #IMRF2026, was pleased to present technical summary of discussions focused on #GCM objectives 2, 5, 6, 12 & 18 during the policy debate where advancing action via whole-of-government & whole-of society approaches were reiterated. @UNmigration

🌍 At #IMRF2026, #GCM Champion Countries sent a clear signal of global leadership on #migration. 📈 From 20 countries in 2020 to 44 today, a growing vote of confidence in the Global Compact for Migration. 🗣️ 🇦🇿 Azerbaijan spoke on behalf of the Champions. 🤝 Commitment + impact.

As part of preparations for #IMRF @migrationAZE convened the 1st joint meeting w/h Migrant Council, Advisory Board and Public Council of SMS, where we emphasized the value of whole-of-society approach in our work and discussed current issues & future collaboration on #migration.

Last week, we joined government entities, civil society, and international partners in multilateral consultations convened by @migrationAZE to advance the GCM in 🇦🇿. We reviewed national progress and discussed future priorities ahead of #IMRF2026 w/@UNmigration & @UNMigNetwork

Together w/our partners, marked International #MigrantsDay via a conference exploring the nexus between #migration, sovereignty & constitutional rights, with valuable insights from national & int’l experts. @UNmigration

Highly Skilled Migrant Portal developed in line w/h Presidential Decree on establishment of Highly Skilled Migrant Program is now accessible. Skilled migrants interested in working & being part of multicultural society in 🇦🇿 are invited to apply via pass.gov.az page.

Last week 🇦🇿 proudly hosted high level reps from more than 10 countries and int'l orgs for 3rd Ministerial Conference of the Almaty Process in Baku. The event marked end of 🇦🇿's chairmanship where a milestone for regional #migration dialogue - Baku Declaration was also adopted.

Successfully marked #MigrantsDay & 🇦🇿's "Year of Solidarity for a Green World" w/h joint tree-planting event alongside @IomAzerbaijan & @ETSN_ecogovaz. The event brought together diverse stakeholders and migrants, demonstrating our shared commitment to sustainable & greener world

With @daniels_ugochi I was happy to meet w/h @UNmigration #COP29 Youth Delegates on #ClimateMigration. Discussed their crucial role in addressing climate migration challenges & driving sustainable solutions, exchanged ideas on possible areas of action and wished them success
