Cybercrime is evolving — faster than frontline responders can respond. This is why with support from @stateinl, UNODC 🇳🇬 in partnership with @npf_nccc, delivered a 3-day Cybercrime Foundations Course for @PoliceNG officers working in the South-South region.

The Cybercrime course equipped @PoliceNG officers with the skills to handle digital evidence, identify emerging cyber threats & support victims whose lives can be shattered in a single click. 🙏🏾 @stateinl, we’re helping build the capacity needed for a safer, secure digital space

Manila, 🇵🇭 19 Mar | @UN__Cyber trained 39 Regional Trial Court judges on digital evidence workflows & judicial checklists during @SCPh_PHILJA Strengthening Judicial Capacity for Anti-Graft Courts seminar to provide practical & structured frameworks for assessing digital evidence

In Niger, UNODC trained 28 investigators & prosecutors from key 🇳🇬 agencies on Deep/Dark Web & cryptocurrency investigations. Participants gained practical skills in crypto tracing & handling of digital evidence to better protect victims & dismantle organized crime networks.

Key stakeholders and partners in #Thailand examined the evolving cyberthreat landscape in #southeastasia on emerging #cybercrime trends, growing exploitation of artificial intelligence tools and #automation to industrialize cybercrime operations.

Bangkok, 🇹🇭, 12 March | @UN__Cyber organized a Regional Cyber Threat Analysis Briefing to strengthen rapid cooperation against major #cyberthreats including #CyberFraud, Malware-as-a-Service & AI-enabled exploitation, in partnership w/ @ukinthailand & 🇹🇭's NCSA.🙏🏾 @fcdogovUK 🇬🇧.

🇲🇽🛜,10 Mar | @UN__Cyber’s #CyberDohaCenter delivered a session w/ #TeProtejoMexico in context of @safeinternetday, discussing online risks facing children & adolescents, guidance for parents & importance of reporting mechanisms to prevent & respond to online abuse @FundacionPAS.

Participants highlighted the proper handling of digital evidence and cybercrime warrants as key learnings from the training. Building these capabilities helps investigators and prosecutors: ✔ Reduce evidentiary issues ✔ Strengthen prosecutions ✔ Improve coordination 🙏🏼🇳🇱

From theory to practice. Practical exercises on warrants, digital evidence handling, investigator-prosecutor coordination and cross border investigations and prosecution with resource persons from 🇳🇱 and 🇦🇺 were among the most valuable takeaways. Supported by 🇳🇱
