Heartbroken by all the suffering I have seen the last 5 days in South Kordofan, Sudan.
This is the worst conflict within the worst humanitarian crisis in the world today.
Tens of thousands have fled hunger and bombing in the main city of Kadugli, where an armed blockade prevents us from getting in aid to the famine-stricken population.

I strongly condemn the Israeli authorities’ actions to demolish the @UNRWA Sheikh Jarrah compound, which remains @UN premises.
The continued escalatory actions against UNRWA are unacceptable & inconsistent with Israel’s clear obligations under international law.
I urge the Government of Israel to immediately cease the demolition & to return the compound & other UNRWA premises to the UN.
