ARREST WARRANT SERVED! Following an investigation, El Paso Sector agents secured an arrest warrant for a Guatemalan national who was unlawfully present in the United States despite a prior order of removal. She is suspected of extorting other illegal aliens and is currently pending prosecution and subsequent deportation. A human smuggling operation was disrupted by USBP agents working alongside state and federal law enforcement near Laredo, TX. 33 illegal aliens from five different countries were arrested; all will be processed and deported. Agents apprehended a former gang member attempting to illegally enter the U.S. near Yuma, AZ. The Mexican national admitted to being a former member of the notorious Paisas prison gang. As if that weren’t enough, he also has arrests for corporal injury to a spouse and child abuse. He now faces charges for illegal entry before being handed a one-way ticket out of the country.

HUMAN SMUGGLING SCHEME STOPPED NEAR I-35 Agents in Laredo, Texas, recently stopped a blue Mercedes SUV that tried to bypass a U.S. Border Patrol immigration checkpoint along I-35. During the stop, agents discovered a firearm and determined the five passengers were in the United States illegally, being transported to San Antonio. Human smuggling is not a humanitarian service.
