We would love to give a huge “congratulations” to our long-term partners at @USCDetectionDog for their very well-deserved win in the Wildlife category at the @noosabiosphere Awards last night! 🥳 This worthy team, complete with IFAW x UniSC koala detection dog Bear, has been integral in locating and rescuing koalas in bushfire affected areas, and we’re endlessly proud to support them. 💙🐨⭐️

Huge congratulations to Tracey Wilson & volunteer vet James Cowell at #MosswoodWildlife in VIC on receiving a Golden Leaf Award from Koala Conservation Australia. The award for their tireless and humble work rescuing & treating 300+ koalas a year, victims of car hits, dog attack & blue gum harvesting is incredibly well deserved & IFAW is proud to be their long-term partner. #KoalaConference

The story of the “Koala Capital of the World” in Gunnedah - 2006: thriving population; 2009: 25% population crash due to heatwave; then disease increase to 2023: almost no recruitment, 75% of females not breeding, excellent research from @sydney_uni Dr Val Mella #koalaconference
