@neeratanden Under your watch, 100k employment-based green cards were wasted. In the eyes of Indian immigrants, the Democratic Party is nothing but a leech, serving its Big Tech and AILA masters. They don’t represent immigrants or workers.

I am an Indian American who was born here and it's crystal clear that the Democratic Party sees me as American and a large part of the base of the Republican Party does not. I hope Indian Americans remember this moment at the next election. They don't see you as one of them. And never will. You thought they just hated other immigrants. But it turns out there's no exception for you. As many of us have been telling you.

@neeratanden What have you done for highly skilled immigrants? Over 50 Congress members wrote to you requesting administrative relief. Don’t pretend to care now.

@MericaCulture @JackPosobiec Proper LCA wage enforcement will fix all issues. For example, in Austin area DOL says level 2 wage is ~100k this joke. I don't think any experienced US citizen will work for that pay. If they force h1b's for only level 4 it will be level playing field.

@MericaCulture @JackPosobiec its problem with h1b labor cert, labor dept can fix it, they can update wages to make them pay minimum 120$/hr to employee which is still 50% more than local workforce at top end, this will force to hire h1's only when needed, trump tried to do this with level2 wage enforcement

@immivoice Getting rid of country caps on employment-based green cards makes the system fairer and helps businesses hire based on skills, not nationality. This reform has strong bipartisan support because it’s a win for workers, businesses, and the U.S. economy.

💯 Country caps in the skilled green card category are unfair and distort the labor market, harming both American workers and immigrant workers. It would create a much better system for innovation and competitiveness if we: 1) Remove country caps on Employment-Based green cards to reduce the wrong incentives for hiring from backlogged nations 2) Reform the system to prioritize American workers @RepMcCormick + @CongressmanRaja + @RepJayapal in the House, and in the Senate, @SenatorHick + @SenKevinCramer’s bipartisan bill does just that: congress.gov/bill/118th-con… A similar bill passed the Senate unanimously with ALL 100 Senators agreeing to its passage in a bipartisan way.
David Sacks@DavidSacks

Point of clarification: Sriram didn’t say he wants to remove all caps on green cards. He said he wants to remove *country* caps on green cards. Right now, every country in the world gets allocated the same number of green cards, no matter how many qualified applicants it has. So applicants from India have an 11 year wait whereas applicants from many other countries have no wait at all. Sriram still supports skills-based criteria for receiving a green card, not making the program unlimited. In fact, he wants to make the program entirely merit-based. Supporting a limited number of highly skilled immigrants is still a prevalent view on the right. Sriram is definitely not a “career leftist”!

I’m thrilled to announce @Area51cast 's upcoming episode featuring @immivoice - pioneers of immigrant advocacy who have fundamentally reshaped the conversation on skilled immigration. From championing H4-EAD to playing a critical role in lifting Senator Durbin's hold on the Fairness for Skilled Immigrants Act, IV has been the cornerstone of a unified advocacy movement. They've transformed how skilled immigrants navigate complex immigration challenges. I’m reaching out to all of you to submit thoughtful, constructive questions you’d like answered by IV. While being in the immigration backlog is undeniably frustrating, I urge you to remember that many IV members have been tirelessly working behind the scenes, even when progress isn't immediately visible. This isn't just an interview. This is a powerful moment of transparency and connection. The next 2 years are CRITICAL. The immigration landscape is shifting, and we need every perspective, every voice, every ounce of collective energy to drive meaningful change. Submit your questions below. This is YOUR chance to engage directly with IV. I’ll do my best to incorporate them into the interview. “When we deny our stories, they define us. When we own our stories, we get to write a brave new ending.” -Brené Brown

I am very seriously considering opening up a 501(c)(4) whose aim is to re-criminalize the outdoor use of drugs all over America. Do whatever you want in your home—but I am tired of the demoralizing nature of the open use of drugs in many of our big cities. Who would be with me?

@RepRoKhanna @POTUS No, that's incorrect. Legal immigrants stuck in the backlog are specifically excluded. Your constituents in the green card backlog are suffering, and it seems you have no concern for them.

Take a look at New Yorkers in 1930 after a decade of economic exuberance. There were no gyms, SoulCycles, yoga classes, or running shoes. There were no diets, Ozempic, USDA pyramids or degrees in nutrition science. Yet, look at how lean everyone is. There is no obesity. Makes you wonder about the food and soft drink industrial complex and our government’s oversight of our citizens’ health.

@jorgeramosnews Ah, the classic all-or-nothing approach, I see. Favoring some while leaving others in the lurch, all in the name of comprehensive reform. And who exactly handed you the reins to decide who gets the short end of the stick? A curious game of winners and losers you're playing here.

Any immigration and border deal should include, as promised for years, the legalization of millions of undocumentef immigrants. We’ve been waiting for comprehensive immigration reform since 1986. The Dreamers and all immigrants deserve better.

@kerritalbot Ah, there you are, the hidden hand for two decades! Skillfully slipping poison pills into bills with the dexterity of a magician. And in all these years, not a single act of magic on immigration? Quite the performance, but it seems the grand finale was always missing!

I’ve been closely involved in many bills for over 20 years and this is the worst process I’ve ever seen for any bill- this border bill has not been vetted by any relevant committee. Members outside the group have no idea what’s in it. No people of color involved. Gross.

@debarghya_das why should we not report you to USCIS on basis that you misrepresented - that you wrote articles but in fact paid for those? I would not popularize these illegitimate ways, so that you don't encourage more fraudulent fillings and worsen situation for everyone.

@debarghya_das problem is with Congress who created EB-1C and lumped it with EB-1A/B ... Employees and employers are just using it for their benefit. BTW looking at your papers and other contributions, you are not in 1% in SDE field .. so lets not shit about others before looking into ourself.

EB-1 green card applications from India are being processed 6.5yrs in the past (2017), the most retrogressed it's EVER been. This is driven by the uptick of Indian EB-1C "multinational managers" which will hit an all-time high of ~7800 in 2023, half of ALL EB-1Cs! 1/4
