The U.S. government is investing over US$500 million to plan, design, and build the new U.S. embassy in Port of Spain. In addition to providing scores of jobs, the project will showcase state-of-the-art and eco-friendly designs.

In celebration of the 250th anniversary of American independence, the U.S. Embassy’s American Center on March 13 kicked off its #Freedom250 discussion series on the theme “Economic Freedom.” By fostering an environment where individuals and businesses can thrive, the U.S. aims to ensure continued prosperity, innovation, and global competitiveness with strong partners like Trinidad and Tobago. #Freedom250

U.S. Embassy Port of Spain’s American Citizens Services (ACS) Unit is pleased to announce the launch of its new WhatsApp Channel designed to provide U.S. citizens with timely safety and security information while in Trinidad and Tobago. The channel “U.S. Citizen Consular Information: Trinidad and Tobago” will disseminate Security alerts and travel advisories, and provide support during emergencies and crisis situations. On March 13, the United States Embassy, Port of Spain in collaboration with the Ministry of Health - Trinidad and Tobago (MOH) launched the Trinidad and Tobago E-Learning Health Portal (TTELP). The collaboration between the Embassy and the MOH advances the America First Global Health Strategy by creating durable and resilient national health systems and supporting partner countries in sustaining life-saving services. The program launch is part of the U.S. Embassy’s year-long celebration of Freedom 250, recognizing U.S. leadership in advancement of global public health, and American excellence in science and technology on the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence.
