I think genuinely the game isn't great, but comparing it to the previous one isn't entirely fair. I believe they should've set expectations better.

Are the steam statistics for Football Manager 26 actually that bad? Against the last two FM's maybe, but against almost any other singleplayer video game I'd imagine it still smashes most of them out the water for continued players and play time.... #fm26 #footballmanager

@TheAmazingChi @SiMaggioFM Shows that they've sold at least 80k copies, 50k plus average daily players, January which is a trend that returns in a downward tick. Yeah game isn't as good as it could be but the notion it is dying is false. Plenty live service games with a tenth of daily players.

People don't understand that this is a league wide issue for players in big teams. Tactics are so advanced right now that smaller perceived teams are overloading the middle and just not allowing you score. Wingers and strikers, in particular, are struggling to rack up goals. Doku Saka Palmer Foden Savinho Martinelli Neto Garnacho Madueke Eze Sesko Gyökeres Isak João Pedro Woltemade Elanga Haaland has been the only exception and even he is on his own drought. Trossard too but he was unlocked by the unicorn that is Calafiori. Without Calafiori, he's seeing how hard shit is. Even Ekitiké has had his droughts. I'm sure I'm forgetting more "big team wingers." But see them in other competitions and they look pretty good.
