@Topstep Question...apart from the larger DD, do the 150K accounts have any benefit anymore? Seems like most traders are now moved live with 10K accounts...needing to make 9K rather than 3K or 6K to unlock balance puts the 150K traders at a disadvantage, right? @MichaelPatak @dotjosh

In case you need a reminder: XFA is all about showing you have a winning consistent strategy, then graduating to a Live account. Live is where you should grow your balance. Full stop.

We’re planning on rolling out a verified check mark on TradeZella for all “synced” accounts only. Users will be able to share “verified sync” accounts. TradeZella has grown massively in the past few years and with that comes responsibility. Not a good look with that comment on a post that’s getting a ton of traction. With Topstep providing double payout caps on DLL Combine, people want to know that they won’t get screwed taking a second max payout. In reality they could just take a payout and go to their own live acct

so what topstep just sends you live before you can take a single payout on the set? welcome to the big leagues buy as many evals as you can fail as much as you want want to get paid? uh, hell no work for it again bitch LIVEMAGEDDON

@TraderLe @OkalaNQT This 100%. Its a big disadvantage spending more on larger accounts now if you're going to get taken live after 0-1 payouts with a 10K starting balance. 50K accounts much more beneficial in terms of unlocking the rest. Some clarity would make a lot of difference here.

Firms should have known framework in place around moving a trader to Live or let the person know via email they are banned from receiving sim payouts. I’m sure if @OkalaNQT would’ve known he was banned from sim payouts, but was allowed to accumulate the minimum buffer needed for Live transition; he would’ve bought cheaper or less accounts to achieve that goal. @Topstep @MichaelPatak @AskTopstep Transparency is everything‼️

@CoachDBA @jtbrownsten Completely agree with you...But traders are now getting called up with 0 or 1 payout on a set of accounts. Makes it hard to plan for payouts/going live. Even if they said minimum one payout it would be workable.

@jtbrownsten 8 days of trading shouldnt dictate a decision. 3-5 payouts should be min of 15 days of trading. If a trader makes $80k their first day, that still doesnt give enough data.

Great question, similar to the ones you were asking in April. Answered this several times Live on-air. After 30 winning days in a live account I had the ability to withdraw 100% of the account, which I did. Directly into my personal brokerage ☔️ From there, I’m working my way back up through the program the same way everyone else does combines to XFAs into a new Live account. No special treatment and no steps skipped. Live account is always the goal & the focus. Personal or prop.

@OkalaNQT 150K traders are getting punished here…Seems like most are getting put live with 10k starting balance, therefore it makes more sense to just go for the 50k accounts considering you only need to make 3k rather than 9k to unlock more balance.

@OkalaNQT Will be interested to see how much they let @CoachDBA , @KorabiTrades run up their XFA’s before going live. Whats the point of the double payout caps on XFA?

Topstep sent me to live after just one payout! I was eligible for a 5x $4000 payout (20k), but they sent me to live before I could request it. I was going to use it to pay my college tuition but instead got slapped in the face with a 8k live account. WTF @MichaelPatak @Topstep

@bigchartrades Similar today. Sat through the chop, tagged for min profit day and missed the flush. Annoying, needed to accept the risk properly.

Gotta remember it's important to zoom out and see the bigger picture whenever I have a frustrating trading day Waited for price all morning, just to get stopped BE twice and miss the move to my draw (so so frustrating) On the bright side, I was able to get off the charts, and watch price trade straight towards my draw without forcing another trade or doing anything other than journaling and reflecting This is a win in my books, even though I had a day like today. Instead of taking my frustration out on the market, I took it out on my journal, reflected, and I know exactly what I need to improve going into tomorrow Small wins add up 🤝

Lots of firms starting their live real money traders w/ $0 starting balance. When called up to Live at Topstep we start all our Live w between $10,000 to $30,000 real money prop account - Not $0. We used to start from $0 over 10 years ago. Psychologically it’s much harder on the live traders mindset as your first day if you’re negative you’re already in the hole below $0 looking at a negative balance. (Yes you can have negative balances) As we better understand what you all want help me out here w some feedback bc we can set you up however when called live: Would you rather start with $0 balance Or Start with $10,000 up to $30,000 live balance
