@ayittey The state at which the moral values in our societies have decayed and the negative attitudes that so many citiziens portray, indicate that we need extra strategies to combat this endemic virus. Media personel and electoral commission are citiziens with the same negative mindset.

To change African societies for the better you need the following institutions: 1. A FREE Media -- to expose problems,, criticize policies,, debate solutions, etc. 2. An independent electoral commission – for free and fair elections 1/4

@ayittey Who are they? Must we not ask ourselves why our societies do produce such leaders. Instead of concerntraing on the leaders alone, we should take time and analyse the values, beliefs, morals and attitudes that are common in our societies. Sensitization @UbuntuSeries

Only 3 things they know how to do very well: Loot the treasury, rig elections to perpetuate themselves in power and squelch all criticism. Develop the country? Fat chance! Ask them to develop the country and they would develop their pockets!

Jealousy is an obstacle Life is not meant to be a competition. Comparing yourself with other people is like comparing mangos and oranges. Each person’s journey is unique and it’s important to respect our individuality. @UbuntuSeries Enjoy the video!

What we need now in Afrika is technology, science, Afrocentric schools not churches or mosques not pastors or imams. We've enough of that. Even the politicians are religious too. We need to excuse ourselves from religious activities. prayers & fasting are not working either.

@ncambirwa As long as the majority of Africans keep on praying to a white Jesus and hoping that he will solve all their problems. Africa will remain a ball to be kicked from left to right. Mental revolution-Empowerment-black conciousness. @UbuntuSeries Senstization! youtu.be/2l-Tcx38OQY

Colonial powers do not willingly retire from political control over any given land. Before they go they make superhuman efforts to create schisms and rivalries which they hope to exploit after they have gone.-📚 AFRICA MUST UNITE

@IamMzilikazi The sad thing is that some youths supporting this autocratic systems. Because of personal greed and selfishness many forget to look at the bigger picture of creating opportunities for the Majority. Societies needs to change attitudes and put the Common Good first! @UbuntuSeries

“The world’s most dangerous criminal isn’t the one who robs a bank millions of dollars armed to the teeth but one who steals and rig an election as he robs a nation an opportunity to be governed by someone they voted for in majority.” ~ Mzilikazi wa Afrika #WakeUpEverybody ✊🏿

@kelvin__kamau @veyetatah @AishaDaughter Decolonisation should also look at what role Religion plays. In all societies, God is a reflection of the people. Indians, Chines and Whites have their God who look likes them only the Blacks believe in a white blond hair God. Results Inferiority Complex and lack of self-esteem

Frantz Fanon's views were that African people (the colonized mind) can only be liberated from their inferiority complexes by means of "violence on the rotting corpse of the settler." I have always struggled with this pov. What is your take?

@kelvin__kamau @veyetatah @AishaDaughter I believe that the African Youths need mental revolution. Many Africans are trapped in poverty because of the hatred towards blackness. Many blacks are obstacles to their own development. Good Attitudes, moral values, integrity, solidarity and empathy for each other is key.

@veyetatah @AishaDaughter @UbuntuSeries Lemme disagree. It does not have to be physical violence. It can be internal violence where one is in violence with self.Say a violence of your africanacity and the westernised you.I believe it's necessary if we are to decolonize.Even economic empowerment needs it

@ayittey Your 100% right. In order to make AfCFTA work each country must implement sound macroeconomic policies and a business environment that is friendly to domestic and foreign investors. Transparency, strong Institutions, Rule of Law/ less Corruption. Learn to walk before you fly!

They can’t make the SMALLER regional ones (EAC, ECOWAS, SADC) work but they can make the much LARGER one – ACFTA – work. Coconut logic!
Binti Masafari@ElleKavuka

@ayittey ECOWAS, and SADC had a head start but sadly the RECs especially the EAC has been filled with so much politics for any meaningful strides in regional integration. Considering the current strained relations, I wonder how the ACFTA will work.
