@Mikeggibbs And @PattyHajdu needs to go. Imagine realizing AFTER ordering back to work legislation that Air Canada had been requiring flight attendants to work for free. How can you know so little basic information about a file and act so decisively (and wrongly)! Make a move @MarkJCarney

The AC Back to Work Order is Carney's first glaring mistake. It's way too early to tell if he'll pay for it. I suspect Canadians will let it go. But if he's a good leader he will realize he needs to shake up his advisors. Anyone who advised this needs to go or be demoted.

It's time for Air Canada to negotiate with flight attendants. As a loyal Air Canada customer (over 1,300,000 miles flown), I've seen flight attendants working tirelessly before pushback from the gate. They aren't paid for this time! Fix this and other issues facing your staff!
Air Canada@AirCanada

CUPE, Air Canada’s flight attendants’ union, rejects agreement to fly Canadians home. As a result, 25 000 additional passengers are going to be stranded abroad.

@PierrePoilievre The correct term is Correctional Officer. You should know that after your 15-minute discussion with the Prairie Regional President of UCCO-SACC-CSN which you posted on July 8th.

Brave prison guard getting stabbed in the face is the latest chaos Liberals have unleashed in our prisons, allowing open drug use and consequence-free violence. Violent offenders get club fed treatment. Guards get stabbed. Canada gets dangerous. Where is Mark Carney’s Public Safety Minister? youtu.be/mp1R2-2aPG0?si…

@guyfelicella @WenBraun @PierrePoilievre From a CO, I hope all these dirtbag "officers" or other staff, like in this article, who pack in drugs get caught. There is no excuse for putting others at risk, either of violence or unsafe supply. COs are there to administer Narcan and CPR if needed. A trauma for the COs too.

@guyfelicella @PierrePoilievre Did I say it doesn't happen? It happens, but those who do it are held accountable. I've worked in corrections for 29 years and know of only a few officers caught. Yes, brew inside is bad, but doesn't negate the fact that drugs like meth arriving by drone are also very dangerous.

@guyfelicella @PierrePoilievre Interesting deflection, Guy. If any Correctional Officer is caught bringing in drugs, they are fired and criminally charged. Other COs 100% do not want dirty officers around! That is the accountability that is not there for the inmates. They don't face real consequences inside.

@LarryBrockMP While I doubt the validity of this document (as it's missing points and looks poorly edited) aren't the points on it the official platform of the Conservative Party? You say it is turning the inmates against Conservatives, but it is clearly just your platform. What's the problem?

@erinotoole @JustinTrudeau Erin, your response here is why many of us were hoping that you were able to push aside the fringe of your party and remain at the helm. Having PP there, who worships and congratulates Trump on his election, but is silent on this and Carney winning leadership, is sad.

@ryangerritsen I know misinformation and just simple rage farming is popular these days, but this one takes the cake! Correctional Officers don't "work from home." They worked through the pandemic and continue to work in one of the most dangerous jobs. Try walk a day in their shoes or shut up.

Welcome to Canada, where prison guards could work from home 2 days a week. Not sure how that worked, but they can’t do it anymore.

@KahlonRav @jjhorgan My thoughts are with you, Ravi, all of your colleagues, and John's family and friends. John was a man of kindness, integrity, and humour. The few times I met him, he was down to earth and straightforward. BC lost a great one today, far too young.

When I was elected, my son was struggling with me being away. Premier @jjhorgan showed up unplanned to play Pokémon and to tell him why he needed me in Victoria. He cared for his colleagues families as much as he cared for families across BC. Sending love to his family❤️🙏🏾

@KahlonRav My thoughts are with you today, Ravi. You always show a humanity that's missing in our world and with political figures of today. You're one of the most genuine and caring people that I've ever met. People like you and @kellipaddon are what this province needs going forward.

My dad passed away 4 years ago today. This picture is one of my favorites. I had just been elected and my team called me a taxi. When I walked outside the legislature it was my dad picking me up. ❤️🥹

@Unbranded63 @PierrePoilievre As an alumnus of UofC, I must concur with this! It is absolutely shocking how he is trying to rewrite history like this. The Nazis were not socialists in any way other than their name.

On the 85th anniversary of Black Ribbon Day, we remember the victims of Soviet Socialism & National Socialism (Nazism). May we never forget the countless atrocities committed by these socialist ideologies, and may we honour those who fought to liberate Europe. Canada must always stand against socialism for freedom and democracy.

@BarryPenner1 @FordCanada Hi Barry, sorry, I just saw this. Doing well and hope that you are as well!? It took about 6 weeks. The actual job was only a 4 hour job, but the delay was waiting for the part. I absolutely love the Mach E. I've had it 3 years this week and it still feels new and fun every day!

It has been 4 weeks since my Mach E had two malfunctions that rendered it inoperable. @FordCanada and the dealership can't give any ETA on when the parts will arrive. I'm out $100s for fuel, insurance, etc., because of this. Ford's response? Evade, avoid, deny. Time for action!

@DuaneBratt Chuck truly embodied what is missing in today's politics. He was principled, stood up for his beliefs, but he was also a gentleman. He would listen to other points of view without stirring anger or hate. His type of leadership and integrity are sorely lacking in Parliament today.

Chuck Strahl was an original Reformer who stayed to serve in Harper's cabinet. He was a man of integrity who was widely respected across partisan lines.

Statement from the Strahl Family on the Passing of the Honourable Chuck Strahl, P.C. It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we share the news of the passing of our Dad, Chuck Strahl on August 13, 2024 in Chilliwack, BC after a courageous and exemplary battle with mesothelioma. Born to Bill and Martha Strahl on February 25, 1957 in New Westminster, BC, Dad grew up in a logging family. They moved around rural BC in his early years, eventually settling in the community of Ryder Lake in Chilliwack when he was 10 years old, where Dad met the love of his life, Debby Bateman. They were married in 1975, and their relationship was a beautiful example of love, honour, commitment and companionship for nearly 50 years. Dad loved Mom with all his heart, and he made sure that his kids and everyone he met in his life knew it and saw it. They perfectly complimented each other and were hopelessly devoted to one another. They were blessed with four children: Karina, Mark, Loni and Kyla, who in turn blessed Mom and Dad with 13 grandchildren. Dad was so proud of his wife, children, their spouses, and his grandchildren and considered them his greatest joy and legacy. Dad’s deep and abiding Christian faith was at the heart of who he was. He and Mom were members of the Chilliwack Alliance Church, where they grew in their faith together and served in many different leadership roles. Dad lived out his values in every aspect of his life, and was known for his honour, integrity and faithfulness to all those who knew him. In 1993, Dad changed careers, running for public office and becoming a legislator after many years in the family logging business. He was elected as a federal Member of Parliament in six consecutive elections, serving the people of Chilliwack and the surrounding area for 18 years. He was a gifted communicator and leader. He served in a variety of prominent positions and was appointed to Cabinet in 2006, where he served in the roles of Minister of Agriculture, Minister of Indian and Northern Affairs and Minister of Transport until his retirement from politics in 2011. While he was a very successful politician with many accomplishments during his time in office, he didn’t let his job define who he was. He never lost sight of what was truly important: his faith, his family and his friends. Our loss is deep and profound. Our Dad was our best friend, our greatest defender, our biggest promoter and our rock. We will share more details on his celebration of life in the days ahead and thank you for all of the love and sympathy that has already been shared. Sincerely,   Karina, Mark, Loni and Kyla
