The NBA informed teams today that it is projecting the 2024-25 salary cap to be $141 million — $1M lower than previous June 30, 2023 projection. The salary cap this season was set for $136M.

Failing to acknowledge a player's trade protections cost the Sens more draft capital than it cost the Chicago Blackhawks for covering up sexual assault before recommending said offender for a job working with teenagers. That is really tough to square. Super harsh on Ottawa.

The #sens have been docked a first-round draft pick by the NHL as punishment for their handling of the July 2021 Evgenii Dadonov trade with Vegas. Ottawa will give up its first-rounder in 2024, 2025 or 2026.

Spoiler alert, no changes in my Top 4 — with that order staying the same wire to wire — but there was quite a bit of movement in my first round from U18s/playoffs!
