@Ian_Fisch @kiwitalkz And this is not what Sony want anymore. They want to increase their profit margin and nothing else. Actually, they are entirely dependent on the performance of third-party publishers on their eco-system.

Sony are in a tricky spot because they are essentially stuck between a rock and a hard place. They have conditioned their audience to expect highly graphical cinematic games yet that isn't really sustainable with the cost of development as it is (and only rising) Astro Bot is my favorite Sony game of all time and I personally would prefer they pulled back on the scale a bit on their games but sales show that isn't what the PS audience wants. The cost of game development essentially doubles every generation so I have no idea how Sony is going to manage these massive budgets in the PS6 generation. Given the size of Naughty Dog now, salaries in LA being so high, the amount of time it's been in development, plus overheads and marketing I could easily see Intergalactic costing over $400 million.

@k_a_r_h_u @Ian_Fisch @kiwitalkz Yotei released in October last year. Saros released a few days ago. Wolverine is coming in September. Plus practically every third party title. If your PS5 is collecting dust it's because you're not buying the games that release on it.

@Ian_Fisch @kiwitalkz I mean that’s the issue right? These games sold this console(even to me), but they’re so few and far between. If they can’t even handle keeping up with releases this gen, idk what they will do to try this again with ps6 and higher cost. My ps5 is literally collecting dust

@JurassicRabbit I think it's more that IGN seems to give scores outside of the general consensus than the value of the score itself. Where it happens for multiple games as recently people start to question the objectivity of the review. Saros, Mouse PI etc. Why would IGN always be the outlier?

This sparked some good discussion that I enjoyed reading (on top of a bunch of attacks from out nowhere! lol) I wish we had a good answer. I hear what people are saying about the school system training us to think 7 = C = Average

@UkFaffer @JurassicRabbit They're entitled to not have to go with the mold if that's how that actual reviewer actually feels. I look at 9 as almost a masterpiece with maybe a couple things you personally would of changed. Not every good game is deserving of perfect scores dude.

Teen girl dies after breakdown crash on M1 near Wakefield as driver found not guilty A 17-year-old girl lost her life in a devastating motorway smash on the M1 near Wakefield. Elise Thomas was in the front passenger seat of a Ford Fiesta travelling to an outdoor concert in Doncaster with two friends when tragedy struck on 12 August 2023. The girls had only just joined the motorway when a tyre burst, leaving them broken down in live traffic. Less than 30 seconds later, a silver Vauxhall Corsa ploughed straight into the back of their car. The Fiesta spun across the carriageway. Elise and the other passenger were trapped inside while the driver escaped. Fire crews helped free the girls, but Elise suffered catastrophic injuries and died in hospital a few days later. Her friend was left with serious, life-changing injuries. The driver of the Corsa faced trial at Hull Crown Court accused of causing death by careless driving. He was found not guilty earlier this week. Elise’s family described her as a beautiful soul and an inspiration. She was already a successful and talented photographer who turned everything she touched to gold. The crash happened after the friends left home around 8.15am. CCTV captured the Fiesta rolling to a stop in the middle lane while other vehicles sped past at full motorway speed. If they actually managed to turn FFXIV into a single player game I would play it. I played the game originally during A Realm Reborn & its community was a nightmare to deal with. I remember trying to join some guild so I could do endgame, these mfers had me applying like it was a job application. Asking me when I was free, my strengths weaknesses, what I was looking for in a clan long term & whether I could support them further. I missed one “raid practice” cause I went to a concert in real life obviously & they kicked me out & blocked me. 🤣 they treat the game like it matters more than real life. Fuck that, anyway if they do single player I’m all in. As long as I don’t have to deal with people like that ever again. They wanted me to work it as a second job irl with no pay? Fuck outta here it’s a video game

@pcgamer As someone with a 7900xt it's really disappointing that AMD hasn't sorted this us yet. Hope it isn't just an attempt to push people into buying new cards. My card is still more than capable at 1440p so no intentions of upgrading for a few more years.
