Swift is not as big as MJ was, but she's pretty close. MJ is definitely bigger than all the others you list combined. MJ could easily sit courtside today if he wanted, he was just so weird that he'd never do it. Prince was the same way. Hell, if Presidents can sit courtside MJ could.

Yes. He’s the most famous entertainer in history. All of the entertainers you mentioned can sit courtside at a NBA game. Michael Jackson could not. @MagicJohnson told the story of how he invited MJ to a Lakers game and it created so much chaos, they had to stop the game. MJ had to leave because fans were leaving their seats to try to get to him. None of the people you mentioned have that level of fame where they can’t attend public events.

Is Michael Jackson really bigger than Eminem, Jay z, Lil Wayne, Taylor swift, Rihanna and Beyonce all put together?

@BrianEastwoodx Had a commie teacher try to suspend me from a school trip for saying "what the hell" to a kid who walked up to me and threw all my shit off my desk unprovoked. Claimed it was "religiously insensitive". She ended up suspended for two weeks instead when my parents were done.

I had a commie teacher in first grade. I brought $25 in quarters to school to hit up the pencil machine in the main hallways before school one day. The machine was filled with highly sought after official league sports pencils like these below. She confiscated the 100 pencils and called my parents. My dad laid into her so hard. He knew I wanted to spend my allowance on pencils and she gave them away to everyone in the class.

Those fetuses may have lived to do great things. But with that argument, we could also say all the women that we pushed in the shadow into motherhood throughout millions of years could have done great things with their lives, but were told they couldn’t because of their gender.

@RavenGrace0613 @smcroasters Sometimes the reasons go beyond the scope of casual conversation and people start giving vague answers. If I answered bluntly, people would be taken aback, and I think that applies to most. Discussing trauma casually is taboo.

I’ve seen a lot of this. Whats causing it? Many of my friends have ghosted their parents. I don’t get it. And when you ask why it’s usually not politics but that they just don’t want to deal with family anymore. They can’t even say why really. Was it Covid? Isolation? Something in the vax screwed their brains? And with the hate on X it really makes me wonder about all of this and did humanity start to die with COVID. Was it a huge psychological op? Ok now I’m sounding nuts. Just thinking out loud. Need more coffee.

Blue button pushers are easily manipulated by deceptive wording, selfishly resorting to emotional coercion to manipulate other people into gambling their lives to save them from the consequences of their own choice, all while gaslighting everyone to thinking they are altruistic.

The funniest part about this poll is that people keep asking it, the majority keeps choosing blue, and a minority keeps getting upset that they're choosing wrong. At some point maybe you should revise your theory?
Tim Urban@waitbutwhy

Everyone in the world has to take a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press?

LOTS of discussion about “pretending to be moral” if you pick the blue button. You can truck right off with the pretend part. Is it that hard to believe that some of us might choose not to want to muder others even when nobody is looking, and even it’s partially their fault?

Parents, let me be extremely clear… If your child uses “retarded” or “faggot” in my classroom, they are out. And it’s a reflection on you as well. I didn’t mince my words. And if they learned it from you… shame. To the majority of parents who are raising your children to respect others, you’re doing it right, we see that, and appreciate you.

I didn't have you pegged for the type of person who'd immediately take the collectivist bait... There is actually no fail-safe argument against either side being selfish, and you've just proven that. Your rationale for blue being the correct choice is selfish. It allows you to argue that you are actually the superior chooser while denigrating those who choose red as cowardly and selfish. Meanwhile, you fail to see that the blue choice itself is, at least in part, a temptation to lure people to sacrifice themselves for what might be "the greater good." And yes, the argument for red voters being selfish is also somewhat valid... And therein lies the problem. The entire question is fucking evil.

You have to admit this is a hilarious tweet. Blue has won and everyone lives but all the red pressers are coping about their high IQs or whatever while having to love the rest of their lives knowing they would cowardly condemn their fellow man to death to save their own skin.

Just to clarify for people who seem to be upset about my "pushing Blue" AND being willing to argue the point instead of accepting Red as The Given Wisdom: Pushing Blue is a vote not to kill anyone. Pushing Red is a vote to kill anyone who doesn't press Red. The entire argument for pressing Red, to date has been "but what if I press Blue and most people press Red? It's only self-preservation". Self-preservation alone is no justification, unless it's a GIVEN that you will die by pressing Blue. There is no "given" in the thought experiment on display, but proponents for pushing Red act like there is. Instead, to conclude that Red is the right and proper decision, one has to believe that there is a realistic chance that at least half of humanity is psychotic enough to kill everyone else just to save themselves. Let us apply that to a real-world situation: if you are drafted into military service, and there is a 100% chance you can escape and never be caught IF you murder the guy who shows up at your door to serve your papers, do you murder them merely because there is a "non-zero chance" you might die in the war you've been drafted into? Pressing Blue is the only moral choice. Pressing Red would have me trying to explain before God that I thought it was justified to vote in favor of mass-murder on the SLIGHTEST of possibilities that I would be murdered if I didn't. If you REALLY think this is what you want to terminate your relationship with me over, as one person has already done, there is the door, and I will thank you for dragging your thin skin after you as you depart.

This post is an excellent litmus test for understanding of just war theory. Despite the fact that I can see how effective this would be, I must oppose it because the damage it would do to my enemy (who bashes in my mailbox) would far outweigh the good of saving my mailbox. Its disproportionality is opposed by our duty in charity (and even justice) to watch out even for the good of our enemies. (Yes, by the way, I have had my mailbox bashed in by random vandals.)
