I have been asked to rate a proposed community note that says Ukraine is not infringing democracy because it is only pro-Russian political parties, newspapers, broadcast channels and churches which have been banned. In a country where 29% of the population self defined as Russian.

As news broke of nearly two dozen people being shot following the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl parade, I was brought back to Valentine’s Day 2018 when we learned of the mass shooting in Parkland, Florida. I join all those across America who are saying the same thing we said six years ago: Enough is enough. This senseless violence must stop. We mourn the lives lost, grieve for the injured, and are thinking of the families whose lives are forever changed by the trauma of gun violence. We continue to call on Congress and state legislators to have the courage to act by passing commonsense gun safety legislation. We can change this, and we will.

@MarinaPurkiss Imagine for a moment that 20-25% of parents who have their kids in private education can't afford this change. Their kids will need to go into state funded education. Are there more school spaces available? How will that be funded? Isn't it going to make the situation worse?

@MarinaPurkiss Because that's a really difficult question but the perception of the parents of kids in private schools is that they must be rich enough to use disposable income on their kids education. The trouble is, plenty of them are people sacrificing to do the best they can for their kids.

I find articles like this so interesting… The key takeaway is always: ‘Parents desperate to keep kids in private education because state school deemed not good enough’ Why aren’t we looking at why? Why aren’t we thinking about the other 93% of kids with no alternative?

@DeborahMeaden Could you change the energy market by removing that it is pegged to wholesale gas prices and free the existing green energy producers to undercut the rest of the market and drive an actual market driven economy on it first? The current system only benefits the energy traders.

I wouldn’t. I would set up a green energy state run company, decoupled from the current energy markets so it could set lower tariffs and drive down prices through competition or reduce through using energy generated as subsidy. I appreciate the energy market structure is complex but it has to change.
