@CraigMurrayOrg Ah, so it's more than the media - he's (VZ) suppressing the people who are pro russian as well? Again, genuine question, I'm asking to find out information. Not leading or being rhetorical. I don't have all the information, so I'm asking you.

@UltimateChris43 The problem is your analysis ignores the significant minority of genuinely pro-Russian Ukrainians, concentrated in the Donbass and Crimea but not only there. Not alien, nor foreign funded. You are just seeking to ban a minority from racism. Nothing to do with democracy.

Omfg I cannot deal. You’re outta your mind if you think privatisation of NHS is the way to go. Said it SO many times the private sector is not fit for purpose… there’s NO A&E in private hospitals, they use NHS Drs in emergency, use NHS ambulance to transport patients. You don’t phone private providers in an emergency YOU CALL THE NHS.

@VP Right on cue Kamala Harris comes out trying to ban guns and take away our Second Amendment rights. “Shall not be infringed” is very clear. We have a right to self-defense. What we need government to do is get violent criminals off the streets. Guns don’t fire themselves.

As news broke of nearly two dozen people being shot following the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl parade, I was brought back to Valentine’s Day 2018 when we learned of the mass shooting in Parkland, Florida. I join all those across America who are saying the same thing we said six years ago: Enough is enough. This senseless violence must stop. We mourn the lives lost, grieve for the injured, and are thinking of the families whose lives are forever changed by the trauma of gun violence. We continue to call on Congress and state legislators to have the courage to act by passing commonsense gun safety legislation. We can change this, and we will.

@MarinaPurkiss Imagine for a moment that 20-25% of parents who have their kids in private education can't afford this change. Their kids will need to go into state funded education. Are there more school spaces available? How will that be funded? Isn't it going to make the situation worse?

@MarinaPurkiss Because that's a really difficult question but the perception of the parents of kids in private schools is that they must be rich enough to use disposable income on their kids education. The trouble is, plenty of them are people sacrificing to do the best they can for their kids.

I find articles like this so interesting… The key takeaway is always: ‘Parents desperate to keep kids in private education because state school deemed not good enough’ Why aren’t we looking at why? Why aren’t we thinking about the other 93% of kids with no alternative?

On September 19, 1991, while hiking in the Ötztal Valley in the Austrian Alps, German hikers Erika and Helmut Simon stumbled upon what they initially thought was the body of a recently deceased mountain climber. However, it turned out that this was a remarkably preserved mummy, later named Ötzi, which had been encased in ice for over 5,300 years. The mummy was surrounded by various artifacts, including a bow and a quiver containing arrows, a copper-bladed axe, a flint dagger with a wicker sheath, birch wood vessels lined with maple leaves, remnants of a backpack, a leather pouch holding small items, and clothing and shoes made from fur and leather, among other minor items. Researchers analyzing Ötzi concluded that he likely met a violent end due to an arrowhead found lodged in his left shoulder and other injuries on his body, suggesting he was the victim of murder.

@DeborahMeaden Could you change the energy market by removing that it is pegged to wholesale gas prices and free the existing green energy producers to undercut the rest of the market and drive an actual market driven economy on it first? The current system only benefits the energy traders.

I wouldn’t. I would set up a green energy state run company, decoupled from the current energy markets so it could set lower tariffs and drive down prices through competition or reduce through using energy generated as subsidy. I appreciate the energy market structure is complex but it has to change.
