While George Soros was busy bankrolling his battalion of established leftist activist groups and launching a few new ones of his own, he quite naturally looked toward the upcoming presidential election of 2008 with great anticipation, eagerly awaiting the day when George W. Bush would leave the White House. The question was, who would replace him? In recent years, all indications had been that Soros and his billions favored Hillary Clinton above most, if not all, other potential Democratic candidates for President. But now there was a new face on the scene — a young, charismatic U.S. senator from Illinois named Barack Obama — who seemed not only to share all of Soros’s values and agendas, but also appeared to be a highly skilled politician and speaker who stood a good chance of getting elected to the nation’s highest office. In December of 2006, Soros, who had previously hosted a fundraiser for Obama during the latter’s 2004 Senate campaign, met with Obama in Soros’s New York office. Just a few weeks later — on January 16, 2007 — Obama announced that he would form a presidential exploratory committee and was contemplating a run for the White House. Within hours, Soros sent the senator a contribution of $2,100, the maximum amount allowable under campaign-finance laws. Later that week, the New York Daily News confirmed that Soros would support Obama rather than Hillary Clinton for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination, though Soros pledged to back the New York senator were she to emerge as the nominee. But it was clear that Soros considered Obama to be the more electable candidate of the two. Most importantly, Obama’s economic and political prescriptions for America were wholly accordant with those of Soros. They are lockstep. When you hear about anti-American policies and politicians, you can be sure those two guys are involved.

On December 20, 1943, American pilot Charles “Charlie” Brown was spared by German ace Franz Stigler. Instead of shooting down his crippled bomber, Stigler chose honor and escorted it safely out of danger. It was December 20, 1943 and in the freezing air high above Germany, 2nd Lieutenant Charles “Charlie” Brown struggled to keep the mortally damaged American bomber on course. Brown had been wounded in the shoulder, his tail gunner Sergeant Hugh “Ecky” Eckenrode was dead, and several other members of the crew were wounded, some severely. Their aircraft, B-17F Ye Olde Pub, had been hit twice by flak as it approached its target, the Focke-Wulf plant in the German city of Bremen, forcing the crew to shut down one of the engines and throttle back on another. This had left it lagging behind the main formation of aircraft from the 379th Bombardment Group and groups of German fighters had closed in like sharks sensing blood in the water. Up to fifteen fighters had attacked the bomber and the whole tail section was shot to pieces, the nosecone was missing, the electrical, hydraulic and oxygen systems were damaged, the radio was out and the entrails of the crippled bomber flapped in the slipstream through gaping rents in the fuselage. But B-17s are tough old birds and this one somehow kept on flying despite the damage. More info in comments.

One of the most extraordinary stories from World War II is the story of German fighter pilot Franz Stigler and American B-17 pilot Charles “Charlie” Brown. On 20 December 1943, Brown’s B-17 Flying Fortress was badly damaged over German occupied Europe. The aircraft had been torn apart by flak and fighters, engines were failing, crew members were wounded, and the bomber was barely staying in the sky. German pilot Franz Stigler had the chance to shoot it down but he chose mercy instead. Seeing that the crew could no longer properly defend themselves, Stigler refused to fire. To him, killing those men would have been like shooting parachutists. Instead, he escorted the crippled bomber toward safety, flying close enough to protect it from further attack. Brown made it back to England. For nearly 50 years, neither man knew if the other had survived. Then, in 1990, after a long search, they finally met. Former enemies embraced and became close friends until their deaths in 2008. Senator Mark Kelly (D-Sedition) is a malodorous ball of slime for many reasons, but most of all because of the way he deliberately harms our nation while clinging to deceitful shreds of plausible deniability to cover his rancid slime trails. Two examples: 1. SEDITION. -PLAUSIBLE DENIABILITY: “All I did was remind service members of their duty to not follow unlawful orders." -REALITY: Kelly encouraged U.S. military members to refuse to follow lawful orders they disagree with politically by pretending they are “unlawful orders.” 2. UNLAWFULLY REVEALING CLASSIFIED INFORMATION. -PLAUSIBLE DENIABILITY: “All I did was repeat what Secretary Hegseth said in a public hearing.” -REALITY: Hegseth made generic allusions publicly about the industrial base’s ability to replenish stocks of precision munitions. What Hegseth said was unclassified. Kelly, OTOH, went into specifics regarding stockpiles of specific munitions, listing them by name. More importantly, he made clear that the information he was stating publicly came from a CLASSIFIED briefing. One of the keys to handling classified info is to never confirm or deny the accuracy of the info if it is ever discussed in a non-classified forum. Kelly specifically CONFIRMED classified information. This is a grotesque OPSEC breach. I find Kelly so morally objectionable because of this sleaze ball behavior. He knows EXACTLY what he is doing, and he knows his braindead Democrat goon enablers will en masse repeat his plausible deniability lies to protect him. Kelly is one of the most disgusting creatures ever to crawl out of the primordial ooze of the D.C. Swamp. DISGUSTING.
