You’re underrating Santana. Two CYs to Koufax’s 3 … but Santana led the league in ERA+ 3 times to Koufax’s 2. Koufax gets adulation because of the gaudy ERA and because he was a Dodger … but people ignore the era, the high mound, and the big ballpark he played in. Santana in his era was as dominant (for about the same short period).

@UnconConven @podoffame @baseball_ref Koufax IS overrated, but he's a slam-dunk Hall of Famer. The Dodgers won 3 pennants they would not have won without him. Santana can't match that. WAR thinks he can, but that's just a product of WAR's many limitations.

The talent at the catcher position in New York Yankees history is pure gluttony. Three won at least one MVP award, with Yogi winning three. They all caught for at least two World Series championship teams. Two are in Cooperstown while the other three all have a case.

I question Mullin’s qualifications to be head of DHS. However, calling him a “plumber” misrepresents his background. He turned a small family business into the largest plumbing service company in Oklahoma and built 7 other associated businesses. He’s a businessman in the plumbing business. Calling him a plumber is like calling Elon Musk an autoworker. Or Jeff Bezos a bookstore employee.
