Liberals in Congress have a new target: retailers who dare to give Americans lower prices. If the “Fair Prices for Local Businesses Act” is passed and if you shop at Costco/Walmart/Sam’s Club, prepare to pay more! nationalreview.com/2026/04/govern…

Since Trump took office, over 352,000 Federal employees have been fired, resigned, or retired and were not replaced. The Federal workforce is smaller today than at any point since 1966.

@heresyfinancial The IRS charges 7.5% penalties and interest right now and it’s not deductible. We always have at least one more expensive debt. You can save .25% in penalties by creating an IRS payment plan. Why is the tax code so complicated?

@McFranchisee Lose money on every sale but make it up in volume? We sell our eggs for $5/doz but it doesn’t cover the cost of feed. For us it’s a survival plan, local marketing activity and a real estate tax deduction.

I don’t go to farmers markets often but went last weekend. Twenty years ago, you went because prices were similar to a grocery store, but you were supporting local people. I sampled some local bacon. Turns out it was $20 per lb 😳 I guess I’m pretty oblivious. I get worried about raising a price by 10¢ and we have people selling $20 packs of bacon. I think I was the only one taken aback by the prices because people were buying. Anyone else priced out of today’s farmers markets or do I just need to take out a secondary mortgage before I go next time? 😂

The harsh reality is that college is not about access to learning, it’s about accreditation. And today, that accreditation is typically not worth the price. If you can’t pay off college debt in 3-5 years after graduating, then it’s not a good financial investment.

@bradleyforco @EBod66 So simple. Dems ask for $130M for a noble cause like Affordable Housing. They overspend and put that earmarked money in the General Fund. Next year, the Dems will scream that Republicans don ‘t care about poor people, and ask for $200M for Affordable Housing. Rinse and repeat.

Coloradans voted for Proposition 123 (Colorado 2022) to fund affordable housing, not to backfill a broken budget. Now $130 MILLION is being swept into the general fund. So let me ask: If voters approve where their tax dollars go… why does the legislature get to override them? We can’t keep robbing Peter to pay Paul. Balance the budget, respect the voters.

@bradleyforco Is it illegal? It sounds like it’s illegal. Were the tax credits illegal last year? Were the fees illegal? What does it take to get a law firm to sue the government of Colorado when they violate TABOR?

I asked for the LONG BILL to be read at length today. Not to stall. Not for politics. But because what’s happening in this building is being buried, and the people of Colorado deserve time to SEE it. We’ve heard nonstop speeches about “protecting victims.” But as a victim of sexual harassment inside this Capitol, I was denied justice. No transparency. No accountability. Instead? It was buried. And the moment I stood up to say it from the well… Majority Leadership moved to shut it down. The Majority Leader rushed to lay the bill over—using a rule most people have never even heard of. Silenced. Again. Let that sink in. They will preach about victims— but when it’s one of their own? They shut it down. They bury it. They move on. So yes, I’m slowing this process down. Because this isn’t just about a $46 BILLION budget being rushed through in hours. It’s about a culture that protects itself instead of protecting victims. Colorado deserves honesty. Colorado deserves transparency. And victims deserve to be heard, not silenced.

The SAVE America Act has not been passed even with the @GOP holding the House and Senate majorities. How much more do we need to see, friends? Fair elections are a threat to their pre-scripted outcomes. There is only one party. And, they protect themselves through cheating.

@dnvr_is_burning A tax credit for prepaying taxes is a debt owed by the government to the person who claims the tax credit. Does this violate TABOR? Why weren't they sued last year for using that trick? We all have standing.

What can we do about the CO legislature repeatedly violating TABOR by intentionally miscategorizing taxes as "fees"? A fee is a payment for service. The retail delivery "fee" is a tax. The gov provides no service to us. And voters didn't approve it

The brilliant idea of the CO legislature to close their self imposed deficit is to shift it to businesses It's become insane to open a biz in CO given the actions of local gov Eventually local gov will face the music bc killing biz will decrease tax rev & drive ppl to move

The cost of living increases since the Biden war on oil have been monumental but the stories are fake. Affordability is hard on all of us but these ads produced with the same methods by the same production team using what appears to be actors is an IW attack with no punchline. Whoever is doing it is trying to create false evidence. It is my belief that the people who caused the inflation are the ones driving this narrative. Will the voters fall for it in November or will they trust their own experience?

These aren't sponsored lies—viral videos like this spread organically on social media because they tap real frustrations. Median US household income hit $83,730 in 2024 (up slightly adjusted for inflation), but new mortgage payments average $2,070–$2,329/mo and groceries for a family of 4 run ~$1,030/mo. Dual full-time work (90+ hrs combined) leaves little buffer in high-cost areas or for recent buyers. Visuals mislead; many are stretched thin on housing/food despite appearances. No coordinated plot—just economics hitting unevenly.

“My paycheck hits and DISAPPEARS before I can even breathe.” TWO full-time jobs, four kids, and every month she's left with the same choice: groceries OR the mortgage. That’s not bad budgeting — it’s a rigged system you can’t win.

Government unlawfully robs us of more than 40% of our income and we're still somehow $40 trillion in the red. Wake up! We are ALL working for government and it's a full time job with no benefits.

The system we have forces a two party system. Winner takes all with less than half the votes. Parties accept political positions like its dogma. We vote like we are cheering for a football team. Politicians who ignore their constituents are not challenged at the primary. Candidates who challenge the incumbent in the primary and lose are excommunicated. How do you propose we change the system?

The lunacy of a two-party system is how easily it allows our government to manipulate 300 million people by drawing attention to and widening the division between us. These vampires harness their power this way. We’ve been played, friends, all this time.

Not everyone will agree, but retirement should be encouraged at 50. I’m 34 and it makes no sense to spend your best years working just to finally enjoy life when those years are gone.

Yes, you must have an investment account. The government has nearly destroyed small business opportunities in this country. Start a Roth IRA for your kids the day they are born. Deposit the max every year. They will pay income tax and self employment tax on it but it will grow faster than they will.

@TheRMVoice TABOR belongs to the voters. We followed the rules and it passed. Voters are the only ones who can remove the Tax payers Bill Of Rights. This is a blatant attempt to deprive voters of their rights as are most of the bills passed by the criminals who are sElected. 🇺🇸🍿
