@UnionAndBlue @TheUBSoldiers @Mr_UnionBlue Mateychuk. Not bad, but they we could be better off with Gauthier or Keller in their top six. Also the sixth overall pick was wasted on Jiricek. Three times in a six year span the Jackets had their first selection beg out of Columbus. That's what killed their rebuild.

Best solution IMO would be to add a scoring center for the second line and bump Monahan into this role. But, we all know how often those centers are available. And what they cost.

@UnionAndBlue @TheUBSoldiers @Mr_UnionBlue Coyle had a career year. I'd be hesitant to re-sign him as you probably wouldn't get a year anywhere near like the one he just had.

Interesting thought, and probably spot on.
I think Vogelhuber definitely gets promoted this summer. And I think another veteran is brought aboard as an assistant coach, also. Maybe even a former NHL head coach. #CBJ

just spitballing here: if the jackets bring trent vogelhuber up from cleveland as an asst. coach, then there’s a world where he’ll advocate for players like richard (and dbb, pyyhtia, etc) to get nhl opportunities next season

#CBJ 2021 fourth-round pick Guillaume Richard had two goals last night in the playoff win. As an AHL rookie, the defenseman was plus-20 on the top pair with Dysin Mayo.
Trent Vogelhuber on Richard: "They've been playing against the best players in the American League, which is a pretty tall task as a first-year player, and he's done such a great job at it."

The Monsters win! Hudson Fasching follows his own rebound and scores on a wraparound in OT to give Cleveland the 4-3 victory in Game 3. The Monsters are up 2-1 in the series and can finish it off Sunday. Guillaume Richard two goals, Zach Sawchenko 31 saves. #CBJ

I hate to be that guy, but Guillaume Richard passed Svozil in every way this season developmentally. Plus Jackson Smith is still in the system. And you have Z, Provoroc and Mateychuk on the big league roster.
