@crypto_muramasa @yellowpantherx @ROLandverse @Worldwide_WEB3 @playbigtime @cradlesio @The_Beacon_GG @genso_meta @MetaCeneGame @DomiOnline @the_phantom_g Mostly agree, MMORPGs is one of the hardest genres to release a successful game. Blockchain tech is nice but it wont be the tool that will help the it to trhive
Highly recommend this video to understand the scope and evaluation of it;

I like making money from gaming crypto as much as the next guy, but let's be real.
I don't think blockchain games are even close to reaching the quality of regular games yet.
Those mmorpg games that you presented are nowhere near the quality of the likes of WoW, Guild Wars, Final Fantasy 14 and so on.
There are tons of better regular games out there and the only reason someone would choose to play a blockchain game instead of a regular game is the prospect of making money.
For example, let's say no money gain is on the table do you go and play Domi Online or do you play WoW/WoW Classic? Do you go and play The Lords of Light or do you play Hearthstone?
Did gamers ever want blockchain in their games ? Nope. The people that want blockchain in the games are people who are hoping to make easy money from blockchain games.
PS: I understand that you can't say anything negative about blockchain games since you're a web3 influencer.

@BookOfSoulzGame @yellowpantherx @ROLandverse @Worldwide_WEB3 @playbigtime @cradlesio @The_Beacon_GG @genso_meta @MetaCeneGame @DomiOnline @the_phantom_g People also hate web2 games that heavily focus on micro transactions and live service models
Its not a really different scenario for web3
English

@jonahblake Any game that promotes something beside their game play and stories will fail
It’s also same with AI and Procedural Generation, just like web3 if thats the main point of the game it will probably be not fun to play
English

@JustJunuh @AnderssonKev Exactly my thoughts, looks really good but some objects that will give a little bit more context about the environment can take it to the next level
English

@AnderssonKev I think the books look lovely :) Maybe the scene could use some additional props that are related to books? Stacks of paper, ink, pens, bookshelves, desks, etc. But it looks really great right now!
English

@NFT1111Inspired Thanks, started learning Unreal with this project
As this was my first experience since than helped some other projects. And now kinda developing a second version for that where I hope I can create a more unique gameplay with some better aesthetics
English

@GaspodeWD But isnt the whole point of pay to win is to create satisfying experiences for whales where they outlevel anyone else
The recommendations are nice but feel like the studios who creates p2w games doesnt really care about the free players

Pay2Win kills PvP Games!
Or does it?
Here are 3 ways to introduce monetization without affecting the core competitive nature.

Introduction:
Drawing a parallel to real sports, a Premier League football team might outspend a lower league team by millions.
Still, the thrill lies in the potential of the underdog pulling off an upset.
If the chance remains significant, the perception of fairness stays intact.
1. Gear Score Matching:
Gear scoring is a method of ensuring players compete with those of a similar equipment level.
Whether this level is determined by equipment, weapons, or other in-game assets, categorizing players based on their gear score ensures balance.
Those who spend more to achieve a higher gear score will face off against similarly equipped opponents.
This means players might find themselves competing against others who've earned their gear through gameplay rather than purchases.
The latter might have a time advantage, having fast-tracked their progress, but not an insurmountable competitive edge.
2. Reward the Underdog:
Incentivizing underdog victories can balance out any perceived advantages from monetized boosts.
If the rewards for an underdog victory are high, players might be content even with a lower win rate.
For instance, if an underdog player has a 20% win rate but the rewards for their victories are substantial, the allure of being the triumphant underdog remains.
This not only provides non-paying players with a motivation to compete but also offers an exciting challenge for those who do spend.
Leaderboards, trophies, or enhanced gear rewards can serve as bait for players wanting to defy the odds.
3. Offer More Opportunities, Not Advantages:
This method revolves around granting players more opportunities to compete rather than a competitive edge in the actual PvP content.
Consider an energy system: each PvP battle might require energy. While all players would need skill to win battles, paying players could opt to recharge their energy faster.
This way, they get more chances to play and potentially climb ranks or gather resources, but each individual match remains a test of skill.
Conclusion:
Monetizing PvP games requires a delicate balance, ensuring that paying players don't get an unfair advantage over non-paying ones.
The strategies mentioned above, if implemented thoughtfully, can maintain a game's competitive integrity while still offering avenues for monetization.
It's all about enhancing the player experience rather than detracting from it.

@Shiffo12 @Universite3_0 @MongeMkt @Austen They explicitly talked in the video that’s a screenshot from about how time and expense of the scanning were the tricky parts.
English

@Universite3_0 @MongeMkt @Austen Not entirely true, because they were only able to render the head in a dark room. They were not able to render an environment or a full body and most likely 2 codec avatars is currently the cap.
But we will get there.
English

That's the thing. That photorealistic avatar on the right is old news for quite some time. It was ready way before the ugly avatar on the left. But, as Elon Musk likes to say: "prototypes are easy, production is hard". As of yet, you can't use the avatar on the right. It's just a demo as far as I know.

@BisonTrades @CloseSomeSayles Contact with Overkill studio, Payday x Heist would be one of the best partnership in web3
Their third game has themes of crypto heists and dark web, so they should be considering to integrate blockchain in the future and mostly will be looking for partners if they ever do
English

Have you actually played the game? Even in its current capacity, it's more than 'gamified staking'
You ever play the game adventure capitalist? Over 50M downloads just on mobile and all you do is see how long you can run a business passively. Is that gamified staking?
Of course we plan on doing more.
English

@TheWarpedJoe The only difference of a startup from a small business is its scalibility aspect and with NFTs once the collection is sold every act that scale the company is damaging the initial collection
I am amazed everyone loves to call them startups we should change the terminology
English

@bangtrades @TheLibertyLiz Although a test is definitely not the right way to handle this, comperision to athletes shouldnt be relevant. They don’t have that power of firing people and causing economic damages
English

@TheLibertyLiz So we should force people to take psyche exams before they can start a company in a "free" society? Tennis players are notoriously narcissistic, as are many professional athletes. Should we ban them from sports?
English

Narcassistic sociopaths should not be allowed to own businesses they lack empathy, control, people skills, consideration of consequences, and are generally dangerous. When they are the decision makers, they tend to develop a god complex when the fascade can't be masked anymore they will lash out continuously at anyone who challenges their behaviour. They can be overly aggressive because they are incredibly insecure, psychotically cold and calculated, easily triggered and they will burn down their own business or Web3 project out of spite with no understanding of the harm it causes to co-founders, partners, investors, holders, clients, etc. Before you start a business with anyone IRL or in Web3, make it a part of your due diligence process to have each founding member psychologically tested, speak to several references prior, and meet them in person etc. It can potentially save you time, money, and resources by simply dodging a psycho bullet and not to mention safe guarding the community way in advance of launch.

@clemmygames 1) CEO gets richer with insider trading
2) Unity moves further away from gaming to focus on creating monopolies in AR space
3) Eventually share buypacks and more profits
English

@iknowgoodthings @KPRVERSE The website is crazy good, one of the best I’ve seen in web3
Sure the quality of products following that will keep amazing people
English

Proud to be on a team like @KPRVERSE that continues to deliver quality product after quality product in the harshest of market conditions.
The future is created by actions we take today, and we will continue to build a web3 that you would want to participate in tomorrow.

@SamStratten @coopernicus01 Exactly 👍🏼
Sacrificing lots of features and downgrading the experience to optimize for mobile just to reach more auidence is not worth for some people
English

If you want to be in the business of gaming, mobile should be your focus.
Deep gamers criticize and downplay mobile but it's absolutely dominating results and has been for a decade.
Handheld seems to be a growing focus with Playstation creating a handheld and Steam Deck but it's still tiny compared to every other market segment.

English

@CryptoCon_ I am estimating a crash on S&P500 which can lead BTC into a black swan event
What are your thoughts on that?
English

#Bitcoin Short-Term Holder loss is finally, completely maxed out, with a touch of the high loss boundary.
Twice this has marked the beginning of the bear market, in 2018 and 2022.
But since the bear market downtrend has ended, it's looking much more similar to the end of the correction from the 2019 cycle mid-top.
Of course, you're probably staring at the black swan crash, thinking that wasn't the end.
But you have to think, if the huge unforeseen event had not occurred... that would have been the bottom.
Double retest and go?

English

@FalconeerDev I think making a smaller version of your huge game is the best approach, kinda like shooting a short version film before getting into the full length
Its about validating the idea than you can spend years to take it to next level
English

@heyBarsee Photogrammatery is not a new tech, you can do the same with apps like polycam for years
The crazy thing will be apple making this a free tool inside their ecosystem cause it gets expensive after scanning hundreds of objects
