That is dishonest and an inaccurate translation; I don’t know whether it’s intentional or unintentional. In itself, what Imam Rashid Ahmad al-Gangohi says is NOT WRONG. On the contrary, there are fatwas in which he permits exactly that, but to laymen he says it is not allowed!

Had a very good conversation with Shaykh @mubeenr25 last night regarding one of my previous posts, and I want to say a few things: 1) Shaykh Mubeen, senior to me in age and knowledge, is not ignorant like some may think, he is no doubt a person of knowledge and very good akhlaaq, and I ask Allah to preserve and protect him in both worlds. 2) We agreed on everything in terms of belief; I don’t believe him to believe I’m outside Ahlulsunnah, nor do I believe that of him. 3) We agreed that Khatimiyyah is a title of praise when it’s used for the Prophet ﷺ. 4) We agreed that Qadiyanis outright are Kuffar, outside of Islam, let alone just ahlulsunnah. And this is a consensus between both Deobandis, Barelwis, Ash’aris, Maturidis, Atharis, Hanafis, Shafi’is, Malikis, and Hanbalis alike — despite some of those colliding with each other. May Allah bless and preserve the scholars of Ahlulsunnah and all those who stand in defense of the Prophet’s honor, and forgive any of those who have made mistakes in ijtihaad and accept us all under the liwaa of Sayyidinaa Muhammad ﷺ, ameen.
