Amb .Ernest Rwamucyo reflects on Rwanda’s journey from tragedy to reconciliation as a powerful testament to transformation and resilience. He emphasizes that with courage, visionary leadership, and a firm commitment to truth and justice, societies can rebuild and emerge stronger highlighting that true prevention lies in fostering inclusive and resilient communities. He further notes that the symposium serves as a vital platform for preserving historical memory by documenting the truth, critically examining evidence, and advancing research. This, he stresses, is essential to guard against distortion of history and to ensure that accurate accounts are safeguarded and passed on to future generations. @RwandaInKenya #SymposiumOnGenocideNairobi #Kwibuka32

Sen. Sylvia Kassanga emphasized that the symposium, coinciding with the 32nd anniversary of the Genocide against the Tutsi, serves as an important moment for building collective consciousness, deep reflection, and renewed commitment. She noted that the Pan-African Institute, together with Lukenya University, aims to institutionalize such dialogues, turning them into sustainable intellectual, educational, and political initiatives capable of influencing public policy in Africa. @RwandaInKenya #SymposiumOnGenocideNairobi #Kwibuka32

From Analysis to Action: This afternoon, Prof. Leonida Kerubo @UoNDVCRIE has delivered a powerful mandate during the presentation of the Africa Unemployment Outlook Report 2026 by World Data Lab at UoN Towers. She emphasized that we must move beyond data and toward national transformation: "Youth unemployment should be viewed not merely as a challenge, but as a national development priority. It represents both a demographic opportunity and a potential risk. However, we cannot afford to engage in analysis without action... there is thus an urgent need to align our actions with both national and global development agendas. I would like to encourage all participants here to translate these insights into actionable programs, strategic investments, and meaningful reforms." The Key Takeaway: • National Priority: Elevating youth employment to the top of the development agenda. • Urgent Alignment: Bridging the gap between university research and global goals. • Tangible Results: Moving from "analysis" to "strategic investments." @uonbibusiness#UoNResearch #YouthEmployment #Innovation
