@perrierappa @jesse_helmer I believe you’re referring the @UrbanThree visualizations, of which I’m almost certain there was one done on Guelph. From what I remember we see the same concentration of profit in urban centres, though suburbs aren’t as strongly subsidized as in most American municipalities

@criticalurban @nathanallebach We don't produce propaganda for developers, we just provide data. If a project isn't a good financial deal for the community, we say so. In the over 170 places we've analyzed, density is almost always correlated with higher value per acre. That's just the data, not our opinion.

@nathanallebach @UrbanThree With the land in most metropolitan areas already developed, the only way developers can build more is to convince people denser development is economical. Urban3 makes that argument and they says in their website their goal is to produce propaganda for developers.

This is what a walkable, sustainable, and productive place looks like. To build this in America, we need to ban minimum lot size mandates, parking mandates, and density restrictions, then legalize and incentivize the development of mixed-use, multifamily housing for everyone
