@kvallier I've noticed that philosophers mostly defend abortion on the Thomson-Boonin line that concedes personhood. But in fact none of them want to rest their claim on that because it still makes abortion in some sense undesirable, though (barely) permissible. They must go further.

The revealing thing about the abortion debate is that you can't just make the first claim here (abortion is permissible and private). There's something about the logic of the pro-choice position where you must also make the second claim (the fetus is not a person).

My favorite kind of abortion is the kind that's safe, legal, accessible, and none of your damn business to regulate. And no amount of fearmongering by describing what goes on to a half-ounce fetus with no consciousness, self-awareness, or feeling of pain is going to change that.

A tip for amateur exercisers: Weight vests can be great for walking. Don't try to run in them. I've seen an increasing number of folks running with a weight vest. Running already puts you under high forces/stress. All your doing is increasing the injury risk with little benefit

Amazon is now my bookseller of last resort; between most books coming with some sort of damage, and no way to tell if the book is coming from one of their print-on-demand presses or the actual publisher press, it's just not worth it unless I can't find the book elsewhere
