@Uyanwunechuks This is the basic list We use to cook in the village, there’s nothing 5star on that list. In my village in Akwa Ibom we add more proteins, and it’s cheaper. But the list price is the Lagos central price I used.

LOL, let’s see if 15k is actually enough for a pot of soup for two in this Tinnabar economy. 😂 Even for a moderate Okra soup, the easiest & cheapest soup to make in Nigeria. Let me make a realistic list. Okra: 2,000 Goat meat/Fish: 5,000 Stockfish: 2,000 Crayfish: 1,000 Shrimps: 2,000 Fresh pepper: 500 Periwinkle: 500 Uziza leaf: 500 Palm oil: 1,500 Seasoning: 500 Garri (1 custard rubber): 2,000 Total = ₦18,000. This doesn’t even include optional orishirishi like Kpomo or dry fish (extra 1- 2k). So she’s right, if the husband hasn't been paid, she should have just supported him by adding some money to complete the market list. Simple.🥂

I don’t think it’s enough to divorce but there are ways to talk about it. Kilo of meat -7-8k 1/2cups of egusi 500 naira ugu Small palm oil Few maggi & small pepper Can cook a meal. X billionaires, avoid this post if you want to sound Nigeria as if we’re a rich country.

“Four months after removing my m0urn!ng clothes, my husband’s elder brother called me and said he wanted to speak with me. I said okay, but I am not coming back to the village. He said he was going to visit, and I agreed. Well, he finally came. Guess what he told me? He said he wanted me to have a child for him. I asked why. He said that for 17 years, he has not been able to have a child with his wife. I asked, why me? He said because he wants me to have that child for him. I disagreed. I said no, I was not going to do it. He pleaded with me, but I still insisted. I told him I cannot have a child for two men in the same family. No, I won’t do that. He a&gr!ly left my house. That same evening, I received a call from my mother-in-law saying she wanted to have a meeting with me. I agreed and went down to the village. And guess what she told me? She asked me directly, ‘Why did you refuse to have a child for my son?’ She didn’t say it calmly. It was a direct question, as if it was my duty. I replied, ‘Why would I have a child for two of your sons in the same family?’ She said it was because she said so. When I told her I was not going to do it, she said if I refuse, then I should leave their family. At that point, I didn’t even think twice. I felt oppr£ss£d and d!sresp£cted. And I said, fine, I am going to walk out of the family. Please, if you think what I did was wr0ng, kindly let me know. And if you were in my shoes, what would you do...?” - Woman shares how her in-laws asked her to have a child for her husband’s brother months after his d£@th, sparking reactions online.

@auntynneka @n_odera @lifeoffelicity Not wanting to inductrinate ones daughter is not irresponsibility. 90% of ladies sent to school without having full resources are online claiming feminist after having accumulated 1000 body counts in the space of 4-6 years. The essence of African degree is all to be boosters.

“This is so accurate 😭 Some Children from poor homes, especially girls, really suffer. And sometimes the family pressure makes it worse because some parents don’t even reason like normal parents should. They expect a child they’re struggling to send to school to still be sending money home. How exactly do they expect that to happen? A lot of girls end up doing things they never imagined just to survive. Some people take advantage of them with just food or 2k and people will ask “why?” without understanding the situation. Honestly, if you know nobody can support you through school from year 1 till finals, sometimes it’s better to first learn a skill, handwork, or tech skill and make money before rushing into school. Because many courses in this country, especially without connections, won’t automatically change your life after graduation. Some students are suffering silently, doing unimaginable things just to feed themselves and satisfy greedy families at home who will still say, “my daughter has favour, people help her a lot,” not knowing the reality behind it. And the painful part is, if anything happens to that child today, life will still move on for everybody else. Take this as advice, not an insult. Hustle smart, build yourself first, and may God provide for everyone genuinely trying to survive. Ngwanu bye ”

Nigeria is the home of absurdities in the world. The salary of the president on paper is 1,500,000 ($997) Nomination form: 100,000,000 ($71,000) Salary of Governor on paper: 900,000 ($640) Nomination form: 50,000,000 ($35,000) You then wonder why corruption is rife!!!

Sperm counts down 51.6%. Testosterone down 60%. Birth rates in total collapse. By 2030, nearly half of women aged 25–44 will have zero children and stay single. This is civilizational suicide happening right in front of us. We are sterilizing ourselves into extinction. It boggles my mind that there’s no major campaign in the West to reverse this, and importing people from other continents is not the answer. Wake up and fix it NOW, before it’s too late.
