Just watched @ShamelessPopery debate with Doug Wilson. Great stuff Joe! Doug, very sincere. Appreciate the civility. It was both edifying and pleasant to watch.

And here was the second, and yes, it was increasingly disturbing.
Total and complete blasphemy.

If you're a Catholic who still supports Trump after his sad fall these last twelve months, will his latest post finally wake you up to the fact that he doesn't like you or anything that your Church stands for?

@UsuryName Sure. A number of the footnotes are obviously (and often ridiculously) anti-Catholic. Fortunately, there are Catholic translations of most of the works he included (and many more). So I would suggest people start with those instead if they have the option.

My journey to the Catholic Church “officially” began on May 30, 2017, when I posted this on Facebook:
I FINALLY ordered them. The writings of the Early Church Fathers—pre-Nicea; Nicea; and post-Nicaea. 38 volumes, almost 20,000 pages.
I am VERY excited to go through this. As many know, I have been struggling with what seems to be the “normal” way church is frequently done in America, at least in the “evangelical” world (whatever that means anymore). So I am applying my “ad fontes” approach in law, history, and politics to my faith as well. What did the men who were the earliest Christian leaders, some of them discipled by the Apostles themselves, what did THEY have to say, rather than the latest corporate religion guru?
I expect to find a great deal of enlightenment and wisdom in these pages.

@JoshuaTCharles Do you believe it to be edifying for Catholics even though he was a Calvinist? Genuine question.
