March 10, 2026- #utahffsl crews plan to burn logging slash piles on approximately 50 acres near Miners Peak on Cedar Mountain as part of a forest health project in partnership with private landowners, NRCS and Iron County. Smoke may be visible from Hwy 14 and surrounding areas.

A one-day prescribed burn is planned Mar 4 in the East Tintic Mountains near Vernon & Eureka. Crews will burn just under 50 acres of subalpine & Douglas-fir piles from 2024 fuels treatments. Smoke may be visible along Hwy 36 & Hwy 6, linger into Fri, and affect Hwy 36 overnight.
