I lightly brown onions and carrots in a Dutch and remove. Sear the roast and remove it. Add 2 cups of red wine and scrape the bottom. Add two cups of beef broth and add the carrots back in. Salt, pepper, garlic powder and heavily coat the roast with sweet paprika. I don't let the roast completely get covered with the wine and broth and prop it up with the carrots. Put 2 T of butter and a sprig of rosemary on the roast and let it cook for 1.5 hours at 300 degrees. I add in cut potatoes and the browned onions for another 1.5 hours of cook time. Add a little cornstarch slurry and it thickens the juices. Delicious. I didn't know for years how much of a difference a nice, heavy coating of sweet paprika can make on a homemade roast. Try it.
@AutismCapital She is misappropriating the word truth to intentionally mislead people.
She's actually referring to opinions by saying "we each have our own truths".
The Signal/Wikipedia/NPR class believe it’s okay to lie as long as it’s in service of what they consider to be “the greater good.”
These are the people who want a monopoly on education, speech, and knowledge.
“Our reverence for the truth might have become a distraction.”
I refuse to use self service checkouts even if it means I have to queue for longer.
If you stand firm they eventually open another checkout
Who else does this?
@beyoncegarden I'm sure you have students that are difficult in your area, but every area is different.
Saying to always believe the teacher is dangerous and ill advised.
