This might be the dumbest thing I have heard on here in a while. Want to know why wages haven’t kept up with costs? Because labour is affected by supply and demand. Increase supply (add millions of immigrants) the cost of labour goes down. (Better when you can exempt “temporary” foreign workers from minimum wage laws). Not only this but these underpriced immigrant workers are filling jobs that your teens used to do, denying them first job experience that helps them land a better job later and helps them save for college. Your government has actively suppressed wages to increase profits for their Laurentian elite backers making you poorer in the process. Additionally, they have spent billions of your tax dollars housing them and providing a range of social services for them, straining the systems we do have (like healthcare) making them worse for us. Not only that, but immigrants are less productive economically and are a drag on our economy. All of this can be demonstrated with easily available studies and reports. The mass immigration of the last ten years from non-European countries has been a disaster for Canada and we haven’t even discussed the cultural impacts.
