When I was with my office colleagues, they finished their drinks & casually threw the cans on the road. I kept mine with me coz I was searching for a dustbin. They started laughing and mocking me & one of them said, “Oh, she is Modi supporter doing Swachh Bharat.” Imagine being so conditioned that basic civic sense like not littering is seen as a political thing. I had many responses in mind then, but one thing was clear, the same people who litter everywhere would later blame Modi for the filth.

An average techie in India joining a company today needs to work 8–15 years to save ₹55 lakh. In Gujarat, two Group B GST officials, Amarnath Saroj and Subodh Subhash Chauhan, were arrested yesterday by the ACB for demanding ₹55 lakh bribe to release a seized transport vehicle. ₹55 lakh! Someone’s savings from decades of work is someone else’s single deal's bribe. No wonder people spend years trying to join govt service so that they can bring some positive change to common people’s lives.

Because has India has too much Bereaucracy and entitlement everywhere. If a Chinese engineer proposes a plan to increase the thrust of an engine by 20%, he goes from a proposal to implementation in 20 days In India the proposal note gets stuck at his immediate boss for six months because of a misplaced comma. Then a further 12 months with his super boss. The note is sent back at least 17 times for some data that anyone can probably google. Then someone in the hierarchy realizes that this proposal may be a risk to their own positions. So they ask for a presentation where the express intent is to discredit the proposal The proposal is then put in cold storage. The engineer gets frustrated, aces GRE, goes to Caltech and then implements his proposal in JPL while the Indian establishment is still debating if Tamarind chutney is better for Samosa or Garlic chutney is.

A senior official once noted that Russia’s eagerness to offer Transfer of Technology (ToT) to Indian Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) stems from a strategic calculation regarding reverse engineering. According to this view, Moscow provides these transfers with the confidence that Indian entities struggle to effectively reverse-engineer complex Russian systems or develop indigenous derivatives from them. Essentially, the Indian PSU ecosystem is "safe" partner that will remain within the licensed framework.

The worldwide collection of Dhurandhar 2 is ₹829.76 crore in 5 days. And almost half of my friends circle has watched it. More are planning to watch. The worldwide collection of Jawan in 2023 was ₹1148 crore. I don't know a single person in my friend's circle who watched it!

Why Dhurandhar? D-Day came out in 2013, had excellent performances (Rishi, Irrfan, Rampal), but was a flop. Why? Because people could not resonate with the story of India fighting back against Pakistan. It wasn't a badly made movie, but political fiction requires some link to the real world. The UPA years had none of it. Fast forward to 2025-26 (Dhurandhar 1 and 2). You have Ranveer, Akshay, Rampal, Madhavan, Dutt, Rakesh Bedi, and this movie is a magnum opus. What changed in these thirteen years? People resonate with the story. Why? Because they see how India now responds to Pakistan. The politics is subjective, but the kinetic action is tangible and visible. Surgical strikes in 2016, Balakot Strikes in 2019, and Operation Sindoor in 2025. They read about the unknown men every month. They connect the dots. You want to go ahead and call it propaganda, sure, be my guest. However, doesn't explain why a story about Dawood Ibrahim getting caught and killed didn't find an audience in 2013 (and Rishi Kapoor was stunning in his craft), but a story about the internal decimation of Pakistan becomes a magnum opus in 2026? The crowd cheering during that one real-life political cameo in Dhurandhar-2 has some answers.

Despite drastic changes in looks– long hair, long beard, different language, and overall appearance bro still recognized his friend even after so many years. Meanwhile, in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Anushka couldn't even recognize her own husband without moustache. Just #YRF logic 🤡 #Dhurandhar2

Back in 2013 Nikhil Adwani made D-Day,one of the best spy movies back then(though it had some flaws but a good attempt)without fearing about the D gang, showed how Indian agents risked their lives to get Dawood back in India with late Irrfan sahab playing his usual best and Rishi Kapoor playing Dawood's role. But what stole the show was @rampalarjun's character, the swag with which he played the role of an undercover agent and how amazingly he convinced the audience as to how a spy actually works right from his first frame in the movie till the climax where he shoots Dawood right in the centre of head with a whistle worthy dialogue, you just can't get your eyes off him, sadly he never got the much deserved appreciation or fame in his career even then despite playing many such prominent roles and now in 2026 he is playing a role exactly opposite in Dhurandhar to what he played in D Day,who works on directions of Bade Sahab and look how once again he convinces you what an ISI head must be in real life, something completely opposite of a RAW agent in D Day.2 similar plots and storyline with 2 completely different roles and 1 actor playing both the characters with such finesse.Sheer talent.

He may not get the same recognition as Hollywood villain actors. Awards may overlook him. But Arjun Rampal, as Major Iqbal, delivered generational acting in Dhurandhar The Revenge. One of the best villain performances in the history of world cinema.
