Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, Prone to leave the God I love; Here’s my heart, O take and seal it, Seal it for Thy courts above.

Temporarily hoping back on to ask you all to be praying for our government, the Iranian government, for swift peace in the Middle East, for minimal casualties, and for Christians caught in the cross fire.

In light of recent news, I have decided that I am going to be on an indefinite hiatus from Twitter as it has been a source of sin in the past. I may return in the future. God bless you all, stand firm in Christ.

Baptism Sunday today, what a glorious day, two sinners brought into the Church of God. Two other people also brought into membership today.

@IFFFMEISTER We examine the principles of what we see taught and practiced and examine their consistency with the canon of scripture.

@IFFFMEISTER We're discussing church history to not simply document what they did but to also have real application. We don't assume to practice everything the early church does because it's impossible to follow every practice of every single congregation, parish, or diocese.

@IFFFMEISTER And, if there is such a consensus in the Early church, why shouldn't we hold to it?

@IFFFMEISTER I've seen you repeatedly assert that there seems to be an overwhelming consensus that mortal sin after Baptism is unforgiveable, but in my own reading of the Fathers I have yet to see any actual evidence for this supposed consensus. How have you come to this conclusion?

In terms of the sacraments and church order, the early church was not concerned with simply 'valid' or 'invalid' but what was properly practiced according to the mind of the tradition of the apostles (custom of the church) and the divine writings (the canon of scripture).

So you want to study the history of the church? Cool cool, but the 1# question you’re gonna have to answer is the authority question. For instance, why does Nicea have authority, yet Sirmium doesn’t? Many answers given, if yours isn’t the Protestant one, you won’t remain one.

It must become wise, not by the standard of human philosophy, but of that which mounts to God, before it can enter into His wisdom, and its eyes be opened to the folly of the world." - Hilary of Poitiers, On the Trinity 5.1

It must be foolish in its own eyes before it can be wise unto God; that is, it must learn the poverty of its own faculties and seek after Divine wisdom.

"Human logic is fallacy in the presence of the counsels of God, and folly when it would cope with the wisdom of heaven; its thoughts are fettered by its limitations, its philosophy confined by the feebleness of natural reason.

Unfortunately, he's correct about this. High tech manufacturing has been completely hollowed out in the US, and as a result the skills aren't widely available. Software is a different case. So, bring in Taiwanese semiconductor engineers to train American kids? Yes, good idea, and in fact absolutely necessary. But at the same time every single H1Bindian working at a tech company needs to be sent home, outsourcing needs to be de facto banned, and civil rights lawsuits need to be launched against Indian executives with passports who have locked American kids out of programming jobs by diverting those jobs to their coethnics. Open those jobs up to American youth, not 18 months from now but NOW. Improve their lives NOW, or the long term plans to revive American manufacturing power will be stillborn in a wave of bitterness and demoralization.
Eric Daugherty@EricLDaugh

🚨 BREAKING: Treasury Sec. Scott Bessent says President Trump's plan for visas is to TEMPORARILY bring in expert overseas workers to train Americans, they they go BACK home. "Train the US workers. Then, go home. Then, the US workers fully take over." KILMEADE: You understand people are concerned? "We haven't built ships, semiconductors for years in the US. Overseas partners come in, teach American workers? That's a home-run."

The most disturbing part of this “takedown” of David Wood by Haqiqatjou isn’t David’s admission of guilt — it’s Daniel Haqiqatjou’s justification for it. Daniel argues: “It is not the fault of Muslims that Western society created a legal system that considers basic biological attraction to pubescent individuals as a psychological disorder.” In Daniel’s eyes, there’s nothing wrong with grown men being attracted to pubescent girls. By Daniel’s and Islamic standards, the only thing David Wood did wrong was not asking the girl’s father before abusing her.
Daniel Haqiqatjou@Haqiqatjou

Many Christians claim that since we defend the Prophet Muhammad's ﷺ marriage to our mother Aisha, that means we cannot criticize David Wood molesting at least two underage girls and forcibly sodomizing at least one of them. In fact, if Western society had laws based on the example of Muhammad ﷺ, David Wood could have avoided all this. How? As he described, when he was 18, he saw a 13-year-old girl with "wide hips and big boobs." In a separate incident, he approached an 18-year-old and committed acts which, according to him, would be legally considered "forcible sodomy." If he were operating under Islamic ethics, he would act on his attraction to these girls by going to the girls' fathers and asking to marry them. But unfortunately for Wood, his society operates under secular feminist laws. The details are unclear and nothing can be known before an official investigation, so the following is speculation. Perhaps Wood saw the girls walking home from school. Perhaps he tried talking to them, stalking them, grooming them. Perhaps things took a violent turn. We do not actually know how Wood was able to commit the sexual acts against the girls, whether it involved restraining them, etc. Wood is a clinically diagnosed psychopath, so there are many disturbing possibilities here. But the point is, he was aroused by these underage girls. That by itself makes him a pedophile according to the standards of modern Christians who have adopted the secular feminist standards of their society. He was aroused by a "little girl" according to the language of these Christians. And if that weren't bad enough, his pedophilic arousal led him to pursue them and act on his arousal in an illegal fashion. These are his own admissions. So Wood had to hide this behavior. Maybe the girls became pregnant. Maybe the shame from the encounter led them to self harm or worse. Maybe they grew and got married and had to hide their history with Wood from their husbands. We don't know. But in all scenarios, this is the disgusting, reprehensible state of Western society. Minors engaged in fornication happens every second of every day in the West. It is not the fault of Muslims that Western society created a legal system that considers basic biological attraction to pubescent individuals as a psychological disorder and action on the basis of that attraction as a criminal offense. Muslims didn't make these incoherent, dysfunctional rules. Christians and secularists can continue to put their heads in the sand, and look away when their leaders are exposed as "pedophiles" and "predators." They can pretend they have some moral high ground vis a vis Islam. But the facade is crumbling.

The drama going on concerning Sam Shamoun, Ridvan (Apostate Prophet) and David Wood is all vile and deeply damaging to the public reputation of everyone involved, and to online Christian apologetics. Shamoun should never be anywhere near a public platform.
