@VLubev Essentially my point. The idea that the Russian Church can follow an imperialist, state-driven, ethnic policy but it's fine because they're "canonical" but the Ukrainian Church cannot is absurd given the history of autocephaly.

If "canonicity" is essentially just cover for a church being able to do whatever it wants, and any decision made by it is justified vis-a-vis "uncanonical" bodies, then of what use are the canons?
