Iran has been preparing for war with the USA by actively creating underground cities. Tehran did not focus on missiles but on modern granite-lined bunkers. They have proven to be practically invincible and very effective. Tehran began developing underground bases in 1984 during the war with Iraq. Their interior resembles a hidden city more than a military base; an automated railway system connects assembly sites, warehouses, and hidden exits through tunnels. Their length varies up to tens of kilometers. The tunnels are difficult to breach even with heavy bombs. They store missiles, drones, and launchers. Command and control points, ventilation, power supply, and logistical infrastructure are also located underground. The base in Yazd is built at a depth of approximately 500 meters.
