I’m fine with the Chicago Street Course returning if NASCAR also stays at Chicagoland Speedway.
San Diego is a one-year contract. It makes sense to replace a street course with a street course.

Maybe others should get better at road course racing so that they can challenge SVG.
Chicago also creates opportunities to bring in outside challengers.
There are only 4 road course races on the schedule this year which is the lowest number since 2020.

@BoziTatarevic The over saturation of RC’s with this car is getting to be unbearable. A couple years ago I started to skip watching some races. This car stinks on RC’s & street courses. Due respect to SVG but watching him lap the field on the streets of Chicago makes me want to watch paint dry

I have bit my tongue for 18 months regarding the debate over the booth being at the track versus the remote studio in Charlotte.

Strongly disagree with this move. The RRFS is not yet ready for prime time. The NAM has value in corners of the universe. The HREF is a phenomenal model. This is not smart IMO.

This is a big deal. On August 31st, the RRFS and REFS will officially become operational. These models will replace a handful of models that have been in use for years. This includes the NAM and NAM 3k, HREF, SREF, and HiresW (including the ARW, NSSL, and FV3 CAMs). #wxtwitter

There is no sugar coating it - this is a horrendous decision that will significantly decrease confidence in mesoscale, short term and convective forecasting. The RRFS is terrible.
Nobody that I have connected with in the community wants this to happen. Mind boggling.
