@ProtonSupport Ahh, I think I've sussed it.
I've set @brave up to aggressively block all ad's, cookies etc. Looks like it works so well, nothing is hitting up in @ProtonVPN 's Netshield.
Visit the Daily Fail using Safari and boom, we're pulling down loads of ad's and trackers.
Thanks! 👍

@VPNSteve Does the behavior persist with all servers? Have you noticed this before, or only with the latest version of the app? Please send us a DM with more details so we can troubleshoot further. twitter.com/messages/compo…

Is there a bug in the @ProtonVPN Mac app?
Noticed the Netshield data for trackers and ad's never updates. Is it not actually blocking, or is the data not updating?
It works fine on the Android app.
On the latest v6.1.0

@parveen__tyagi Trustworthy old Dell beasts here. Just upgraded to the new Dell Pro.
Need to ditch Windows, but haven't decided what with yet 🤔

@app_settings I once had a colleague who, when we collaborated around my laptop, would repeatedly point at stuff on the screen and leave his grubby little hoof prints all over it like that. Drove me mad! 😾

Why do we still put up with this?
This is just 5 minutes of my phone sat on the side without me touching it.
Plus, I don't think I've got any properly 'scammy' apps installed! 🤔

Been away in Malta this week on open hotel WiFi, and I must say @ProtonVPN has been absolutely rock solid. None of the occasional drop outs that need a dis/reconnect to get back online of previous trips.

@theonecid Absolutely! Standard S24/S24 is the best for now, but a bit smaller would be 👌
iPhone mini size was perfect.

@robertgraham It's always the web interface. Same on the Cisco kit. We just disable the http stuff.
Real engineers only use the CLI anyway 😜

So for each of the past several years, Fortinet vulnerabilities have been a major source of hacking and ransomware campaigns.
Why do customers continue to buy their products? I don't mean to suggest they shouldn't. I mean to ask why they do.
For context, their biggest vulnerabilities is in the web management interface, which should always be behind a firewall, VPN, or management segment. Yet, it's their firewalls that are vulnerable. Moreover, it seems that part of the reason is provisioning as-yet unmanaged clients, which needs to be exposed to the public Interent without authentication, so the normal practice of walling it off doesn't work.
Thus, they seem unsecurable.
So my question is what is motivating customers?

@theonecid Brave. No ads in YouTube or X. Just needs to add a dark reading mode then it would be perfect 👌

This is probably the best I've seen, but again it's from 2023 so not ideal today:

Has anyone got a decent (up to date) guide to SSH on Cisco IOS-XE and/or ASA?
Official docs seem really poor, and leave a large potential for config errors (security holes) 😬
