Secure Core is a feature that exists in Proton VPN, a lot of at-risk people (i.e. journalists) depend on it every day. Here's what you need to know. Pros: - Routes your traffic through a hardened server in Switzerland, Iceland, or Sweden before it reaches the exit server, so even a compromised exit can't be traced back to you. - Protects against network-based attacks and correlation. - Runs on servers Proton fully owns. Cons: - Not the fastest connection speed

@Meresye Proton Pass can generate a random hide-my-email alias and a strong password for you when signing up for accounts on websites.

@Proton_Pass I wanted an option for whenever I went to register on a site already have an autocomplete with a random user.

Please file a bug report through the app (protonvpn.com/support/report…) letting us know which Proton VPN app version you have installed, what type of internet connection you're using, whether you have any antivirus or firewall software installed, etc. Once we have more details to work with, we'd be happy to help you troubleshoot the issue further. Meanwhile, you can try some of the fixes at protonvpn.com/support/vpn-co… to see if there's any improvement.

@ProtonVPN what is wrong with the VPN service the last few weeks? I got so many connection problems with my paid subscription its not funny. When I kill the VPN I can browse normally but as soon I reconnect to the fastest connection at least 30% of my browsing just stopps.

That doesn't sound right. Contact us through the "Help and feedback" → "Report a problem" option under the account menu with more details, such as your Lumo app version, iOS version, whether you're using any antivirus or firewall, etc. We'd be happy to help you troubleshoot further.

@asklumo The Lumo iOS app is very frustrating… it keeps logging me out all the time. I default to Claude when I’m in a rush as a result… 😔

Those are client-side logs that are used for troubleshooting purposes. They do not contain any personally identifiable information, and are only accessible to the user on their system, and you can choose to share them with the support team if you're encountering any issues. All images and files in Lumo are zero-access encrypted. Nobody, including Proton, can access them. We use an open-source model for image generation. Your images and prompts are never used to train Lumo's models or to influence outputs for other users. You can learn more at proton.me/lumo/image-gen….

@asklumo How are images actually processed? Where does the data end up?

Any time you insert a photo of yourself or your loved ones into AI like Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini, everything from the time, place, and device the photo was taken, to identifying who is in that photo gets recorded permanently. Having fun with AI shouldn't come at such a cost.

@ProtonSupport I see it, on other mail I can safely open. But I have to open the mail to select it, which creates the chance for zero-click vulnerability. When I just select the mail that I know shouldn't be allowed to load any thing at all, I get this

@ProtonDrive Is there any way we can get the app on windows to require a password before it shows your files? There are times when others might use your computer or you might leave your user logged on and you don’t want to have to worry about them seeing your files.
