I had the privilege of presenting my research at the @BASASofficial Annual Conference 2025, hosted by Lancaster University. I’m grateful to have listened to wonderful scholars and present my work. I truly felt that my work was heard and appreciated.

Another Sanitary worker dies while trying to walk through a flooded street in Kannagi nagar settlement Chennai due to electrocution. This was due to an electric wire unattended. A Dalit ,her death is caused by administrative negligence. Chennai sees at least one death of a sanitary worker , mostly Dalit women, every month due to such accidents. I have been talking about the risky job they do and the lack of providing safety gears which causes so much harm to the workers. I am deeply saddened and very angry that this keeps on happening. @CMOTamilnadu

I also spent my childhood in a Dalit colony and faced everyday humiliation, stigma, stereotype that kill the confidence&self esteem of every Dalit child. One major concern is the emotional security of the Dalit children who are still mercilessly targeted by the casteist vultures.

Women's bodily autonomy is a joke in a society built on caste-endogamous unions. Clearly, even the judiciary's chief concern is preserving men's conjugal rights as absolute. Expecting the recognition of marital rape in India is a pipe dream.

Forcing daughters into arranged marriages to have sex with a stranger is not culture,it's pimping. People should be ashamed of it . Marital rape is rape !

A Dalit girl was rapēd and brutally murdered in Ayodhya, the so-called Ram Janmabhoomi, and the nation didn’t even flinch. Had she been from an upper caste, the streets would be flooded with protests. Even in death, caste decides whose life is worth mourning.
