Every American has the right to due process and protection against excessive bail under the Eighth Amendment, along with the presumption of innocence. Restricting legitimate crowdfunding for bond in this way raises legitimate concerns about fair access to the justice system.

🚨Fairfax Soros DA Steve Descano’s Lies, Damned Lies, and Statistics @FairfaxCountyCA @SteveDescano Are Fairfax Crime Stats Cooked? There’s something fishy about Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) data reporting to Virginia State Police’s database Crime in Virginia (VA Beyond 2020), making it look like crime is down – when its actually up A LOT. @FairfaxCountyPD Politicians like County Board Chairman Jeff McKay claim Fairfax County is the “safest jurisdiction of its size” (hint: it’s not and much less safe under Soros DA Steve Descano’s tenure) Here’s what’s actually going on. FCPD reports its data via a system call Incident Based Reporting System (IBRS) to the state police and FBI tracking crime in three categories (crimes against persons, crimes against property, and crimes against society) but the data doesn’t match its own online data tool [link below] or annual reports. Because FCPD has seriously underreported monthly totals for various crimes in at least three months in 2024 – May, August, and December by 50-75% for each of those months – effectively disappearing 6000+ crimes including: ~2000 missing “crimes against persons” (-99 aggravated assaults, -49 kidnapping/abductions etc.) ~3700 missing property crimes (-60 robberies, -422 car break-ins, -1440 shoplifting/theft etc.) ~500 society crime crimes (-312 narcotics/drugs violations and -111 weapons violations) But the FCPD’s own IBRS reports show that the supposed 8,703 Crimes against Persons total for 2024 is in fact 10,793 per its annual report and 11,073 per its online tool. That is a 27% gap between what VSP/FBI got and what FCPD itself reports, due to missing 50-75% of crime totals for ¼ of the year. Then when you look at the Major Cities Chiefs Association data for violent crime (murder, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault), the myth of “safest large county” begins to dissolve in a boiling vat of stats-acid. In 2024, FCPD told MCCA it had 1249 violent crimes – up 92% from 2019’s 651 (pre-Descano) while the VSP data shows those four categories rose from 1004 to 1098 or +9.5%. Comparing that to FCPD’s IBRS data reports 1,382 total violent crimes in 2024 compared to 893 in 2019. Important caveat: there are definitional and category issues across FBI Violent Crime pre-IBRS, MCCA, and the new IBRS system but within those reporting structures there should NOT be such wild variants and especially in month-to-month data. Note: Criminals don’t take August off. But Descano does let criminals off.
