Coming out as detrans in June completely destabilized my life. For the first 6 months of 2025, my life was very stable and routine. I worked, went to the gym 4 times a week, served on 3 boards, read voraciously, and was widely known and respected. I announced I was detransitioning in June and everything disintegrated quickly. I lost all of my so called friends. I got kicked off of LGBTQ boards. I got majorly canceled. I’ve had the trans mob after me ever since. My routine fell apart & I lost my sense of purpose in activism for the last 30 years. The only thing that didn’t leave me was the law. Anyone who calls this a grift or thinks someone is doing this for attention isn’t very intelligent or they are purposefully being obtuse. The reality of detransition is a lot of heartbreak and aggression from the very community you once called friends. I’m not alone in this at all. The only way to survive detransition without the mob is to do so quietly like the trans community wants. I was told it was “transphobic” simply to announce detransition publicly because it casts doubt on the legitimacy of trans. Good. Let it.

@legaltweetz When you've had a profoundly negative experience as a woman or grown to associate it only with hardship, or body dysphoria; it is harder to empathise with others who have a more positive or seemingly naïve outlook. I struggle with that at times.

@legaltweetz No two women have the same experience of womanhood. What womanhood means and how it is experienced is entirely subjective across time, place, society and individuals. That is a key part of feminism.

My logical brain can’t get over how a man simply calls themselves a woman and that is supposed to equate to my experience. You can’t just self identify into perceived victimhood & cry when no one thinks you’re actually a woman. Like no!

There is this common myth that the estrogen that trans women take is "synthetic." It's not. This here is estradiol. It's bioidentical estrogen. Chemically identical to the estrogen produced by the ovaries. It's the same medication routinely prescribed to cissexual women during menopause. The only difference is who people think deserves access to it.
