I was born kinda different. I started puberty too young, at 10 years old. Then I struggled with my testosterone being too high for a tween girl. Because I was so tall, broad, and hairy - I hid my body in baggy boys clothing. This is how you get socially pressured into nonbinary.

The nonbinary movement has been kinda...life ruining for me. It was popularized in 2016, right when I was in high school. Because of my natural gender nonconformity from my hormone issues, other kids in the school's GSA started telling me I must be nonbinary.

Got a call from another inmate in Maine women's prison today. She's a sex trafficking victim who feels 'traumatized' at being forced to share a room with 6'1", 310-pound male murderer Andrew/Andrea Balcer. Another inmate told her that Balcer stroked her & another woman's hair while they were sleeping. He's also made sexual remarks and pulled up his shirt while bouncing up and down and telling the women to "look at my t*ts". Why won't the office of Maine governor @JanetMillsforME respond to requests for a meeting so that New England Women's Solidarity can advocate for these vulnerable women? @TheMaineWire @PressHerald

It's worse than that. One of the alters was an 11-year-old girl expressly against the testosterone, according to our lawsuit. Another was a six-year-old boy. While Layton was in her 20s, Dr. Jason Rafferty-the pediatrician who authored the 2018 American Academy of Pediatrics policy statement-is the one who prescribed her testosterone. The U.S. Dep't of Health and Human Services recently castigated Dr. Rafferty for “describ[ing] detransition as part of the ‘gender affirming’ approach itself, thus making treatment failure impossible to conceive” and for “call[ing] for specific political activism on the part of clinicians.” Treatment for Pediatric Gender Dysphoria: Review of Evidence and Best Practices 33, 214 n.21 (Nov. 19, 2025). Yet, the U.S. Dep't of Justice is defending Dr. Rafferty and asking the court to dismiss Layton's case on statute of limitations grounds. Of course, she couldn't file her case until years later because Dr. Rafferty deceived her into thinking the testosterone was appropriate, evidence-based health care that would cure her mental health problems.

I was asked one of the most meaningful questions at a college yesterday — “What do you love most about being a woman, now?” It’s hardly the first time I’ve been asked this, but it’s admittedly never been easy to answer. This time, though, I think I gave my best response: The beauty of womanhood is that it’s not immediately obvious to us at first. When you’re growing up as a girl, you think, “I have to live half my life having periods every month?! I have to endure the pain of childbirth and deal with all these physiological burdens and social pressures that men don’t!?” The grass seems greener on the other side and so a lot of girls assume at first that there’s no value in the struggle, but the fact is that in order to fully appreciate the female experience, you have to grow through the hardships in order to experience the blessings.

After getting a few peaks under the curtain at the absolute shit show that is the Ari/Leta/Erica/Prisha clique, I am grateful for @LGBCourage. A group of very different people who can put aside smaller differences and ego to work to achieve larger goals. @JamieWhistle had a non-profit consultant look at the org and he told her that the amount of substantive output would normally require an org with 10x the budget we have. It's a group of about 60 people, mostly lesbian, some gay men, a few parent activists like me. Lots of professionals, academics, but no ego, no credentialism. If Jamie and Lauren were mismanaging the org, there are about a dozen people smart enough and principled enough that they would call her out immediately. And I would be one of them. They can't imagine a group of people like that because, well, look at them.

i speak because i owe it to God for saving me from transition and i won’t go back on helping Him. i have gone 5 years dealing with daily threats and visceral hate but it’s nothing compared to the hatred He suffered, and i know He never gives me more than i can handle.
