At VTHS, students create special relationships with people that have faith in them. These exceptional relationships are built upon shared unique experiences.

In 1985, as President Reagan prepared to visit the German military cemetery in Bitburg—which contained the graves of 49 SS members—8-year-old Mike Schneider of Wilmington, Delaware penned a powerful objection. His words, "To me it is a sin because I am Jewish," cut to the heart of the controversy. Senator @JoeBiden, recognizing the letter's significance, forwarded it directly to President Reagan. Though the visit proceeded, Mike's plea (which we unearthed in the @Reagan_Library archives ) stands as a testament to conscience speaking truth to power. This moment illuminates the importance of advocacy-where even the youngest of voices can articulate profound moral questions, challenging leaders to confront the weight of history and the lofty responsibilities of high office. mishpacha.com/the-great-misc…
