@fwg0308 In Russia women can chance their surname or not. It's 50/50 right now. Children usually get the fathers surname, but because there are a lot of single mothers that's changing. The real dispute is with middle names. It's not illegal to give a female one but most are turned down.

해외의 멋진 언니들!! 일본이나 일부 서구권에서는 결혼하면 여성의 성씨를 결혼 후 남성의 성씨로 바꾸는 경우가 많다고 들었어요 한국의 경우 여성의 성씨는 바꾸지 않지만 한국의 자식들은 남자의 성씨를 따르는 게 보통이고요.. 저는 이게 정말 이상하다고 여겨요.. 그래서 언니들은 어떻게 느끼는지 궁금해요!

@fwg0308 Yes, when speaking Russian you indicate the gender of the person/thing you are speaking about and simultaneously indicating your own gender

Well, since the English translation of the doujinshi I drew—which sold 400 copies in Japan—sold another 400 copies, I figure if other Japanese authors put out translated versions, they’d probably sell well too. That’s about all I can say🫠

@AllbonesJones We also don't let language barriers stop us. The latest trend is auto translating Chinese novels. The main reason people learn languages is to enjoy media.

Auto-translate feels like releasing invasive species into Japan. I saw a Japanese threatening a Russian by pirating Dostoevsky, only for the Russian to reply with a pirate site and some book recommendations. They have no natural defenses against these people. RIP the ecosystem.

1. Smear frames replicate real life motion blur that happens in cameras and our eyes. So be careful to only use them when a movement is too fast to follow. That usually means an object is moving a large distance in 1 to 2 frames. A basic rule is that the audience should have trouble telling if you used a smear or not. (But don’t worry they will feel it in the smoothness of motion) 2. Old looney tunes cartoons are great to reference when practicing smears as those animators really pushed the limits of what could work :) 3. Anticipation and follow through are the secret to making smears effective. They allow audiences to make sense of what happened during a quick motion.
