Good first episode, better than expected!
Some brilliant bits like weekend update, UnderAge, and anything Jack Shep did. Some clunky and nervous moments. Overall a fun show, I’ll absolutely be tuning back in next week

@BrassicEyeRedux @BRYN_BORANGA As someone who thought it was going to be awful, it was actually really solid. 60-70% hit rate on the sketches. The last was so funny I rewound it to watch it again. The bad ones were a bit cringe, but that's the same with the US version and with basically all sketch comedy.

@VanClouten @scottygb Totally agree the Irish grandad was the only good sketch in the second half. I think being under a minute helped. Big problem with SNL US is they'll drag a sketch out for 5 mins that just isn't good.

I also expected it to be awful but I was actually really impressed. 3 or 4 really funny sketches.

@scottygb I thought it was going to be an absolute train wreck and have to admit, pleasantly surprised. The first half was the stronger sketches, the second half like the Paddington one were pretty poor. But that's standard SNL. The Underáge sketch was great.
