🏈 Chadron State breaks through and gets a spot in the D2football.com top 25 at 22.

Chadron is writing a story for the ages. With their 35-10 victory over rival SD Mines yesterday (11/1/25), Chadron has won 7 in a row, are a perfect 7-0 in RMAC play, and are 7-1 against DII opponents, with 2 regular season games remaining. Chadron’s defense as stellar as usual, pitching a shutout in the second half. Logan O’Brien had everyone experiencing deja vu when he intercepted a swing pass and took it to the house for a PICK SIX!! R-Jr QB Aidan Thompson continues to display command of the Eagles’ offense, as he passed for 244 yards and 3 TDs. Thompson also showed his intelligence as he continually found a way to get the ball to Tommy Thomas, who had 11 receptions for 136 yards and 1 TD on the day. Leading Chadron to the win were: 🏈 Aidan Thompson, 19 Cmps on 31 Atts for 244 Yds & 3 TDs; 🏈 Tommy Thomas, 11 Recs for 136 Yds & 1 TD; 🏈 Garet Schlabs, 2 Recs for 46 Yds & 1 TD; 🏈 Daytuawn Pearson, 15 Carries for 74 Yds (4.9 Avg); 🏈 Quincey Ryker, 7 Carries for 34 Yds (4.9 Avg); 🏈 Tucker Peterson, 8 Tackles (6 Solo & 2 Ast); 🏈 Cooper Walton, 8 Tackles (5 Solo & 3 Ast); & 🏈 William Stemler, 7 Tackles (6 Solo & 1 Ast) with 2 TFLs, including 1 Sack. Chadron will continue to write their story next Saturday when they host a Western CO team that is reeling after suffering their 1st loss of the season. O’Brien and Company will undoubtedly be ready to send the Mountaineers back to Gunnison with their second loss!
