Maybe it's too soon to judge, but I think we may need a change in direction for the DCU suits.

The lines are there to add depth and texture and if they weren’t there, many people would complain it looks like cosplay, just like they do every time a design is truly simple and comics-accurate. Superhero movie suits are a hyper focused “there’s no pleasing everyone” scenario.
