The real #bloodbath is how one side tries to kill the other 4 votes/re-elections. No more honest conversation or debate. Honesty, integrity, caring 4 the people haven't been the focus 4 a long time. I no longer believe in political truth or politicians trying 2 make a difference.
@ZoeYorkWrites Like it or not, the controversy's awesome for Carian Cole. I'd NEVER heard about Torn 'til the twitter hate. Good for you Carian Cole! Maybe I'll write about a senior citizen about to bite it who falls in love with a stripper. Oh wait, that was real life. And hugely popular.
It's fiction. The appeal of age gap romance is not literal grooming. For many *very adult* readers, it's a self-insert do-over fantasy that replaces the reality of a less than ideal teenage introduction to sexuality. And the older, safer love interest is who they want now.
Post your favorite middle grade novel here. I want to read a bunch or listen on audo. Anything goes. Authors and your books totally welcome. Happy Wednesday. #mglit

@marclanders I want to make one million dollars by age 50, and there's no fucking way I am telling you how long that will be. Let's just say time is running out.

One of things we're doing on #WorldBookDay is discussing Daniel Pennac's The Rights of the Reader and then creating our own version together as a class. The last time we did it, the children had some amazing suggestions. 'The right to feel emotional when reading' is fantastic.
@klhicks912 yes, but it was an old Farmer's magazine and I didn't know that. This was before you could just look 'em up on the internet. So I got my beautiful poem published on the back of a hearing aide commercial. But damn it, I got published. haha
