Bitcoin's supply growth isn't limited to what's being mined. What matters most is the supply that existing holders want to sell. Right now, most existing Bitcoin isn't for sale. But once holders decide they want out, supply explodes. Without increased demand, the price collapses.

I don't ask for a lot. But one of my wife's really good friends needs prayer. She's an amazing woman, pillar of the foster community in Vegas, & has 3 little girls she adopted under 5. She suffered a severe injury a couple days ago & has been unresponsive. They are talking about preparing hospice tomorrow 😢. I believe so much in the power of prayer. Bitcoin also made a new high today, trading above $126K. But it terms of gold, it's still about 15% below its record high. I still think it's too early for Bitcoiners to get excited about the rally. Until Bitcoin can make a new high priced in gold, it's just a bear market rally.

Do you think the dollar won’t collapse regardless of Bitcoin? When you lived through it who came out on top and what needed to happen before things stabilized? The chaos will be tamed faster with or without Bitcoin? Once tamed do you think a Bitcoin system would be fairer and more conducive to the average person working for a wage?

Bitcoiners celebrating dollar collapse don't understand what they're asking for. I lived through currency collapse. It's not liberation it's your grandmother eating cat food because her savings evaporated. It's not freedom it's chaos. The dollar dying doesn't make Bitcoin win it makes ammunition the only currency that matters. Americans fantasizing about hyperbitcoinization have never lived through hyper-anything. You don't want what you think you want.

Holy shit. It’s worse than I could’ve imagined.

I saw your time on stage @PeterSchiff. You are caught up on money needing to have some value other than being money. It needs to be a measuring stick that doesn’t change, to measure wealth and exchange for it. And it needs to have the characteristics of sound money. Bitcoin is pure money and you don’t need it to be a consumable/usable commodity. Its rules can’t change nor its supply. Gold is valuable in jewelry because of its properties as money, not the other way around. As for utility, gold was valuable way before it was used for dentistry and technology. In fact other metals had more utility than gold yet they didn’t become as valuable. If you were to put even 0.5% of your wealth into Bitcoin it wouldn’t hurt you one bit. Even if it goes to 0. However if you’re wrong and it does become the measuring stick of global wealth, it will pay off tremendously.

At least @Saylor knows who the world's leading gold advocate is. It's just too bad he still refuses to debate gold verses Bitcoin with me.
