Did some cabling today. It's so satisfying. Once clankers take over they'll surely keep me around.

@jamonholmgren And remember the days when Spotlight would pump that misc word you typed into the awesome built in Dictionary app and give you a definition + link into the app? Now the “best” is presumably to shove you to some website dictionary. The app one is nerfed to like 20th place 😢

I know you're "indexing", Spotlight, and imma let you finish, but could you maybe start with the thing that I've opened 5 million times, instead of all the things I've never used once?

@KhalidWarsa I’ve been at this for 35 years. Knowing what to ignore or at least really drag your feet on and let shake out is super important and a bit of an art! Staying atop “everything” is generally a waste of time. Except for influencers where being excited about all things is the job.

I’m late to every AI trend: - adopted Cursor late - switched to Claude Code late - just started using DeepSeek - haven’t tried OpenClaw or Hermes - haven’t used GPT 5.5 yet And guess what? I didn’t fall behind or become obsolete like all the AI grifters and tech bros said.

@CFDevelop Have you taken a look at the many recent studies on ROI of AI expenditures? It is a bleak picture. These are from the lenses of executives saying they are not seeing the payback proportionate to the investment. The more interesting question is how should companies measure it

Why are companies still trying to keep their AI costs down? Some dev companies are paying $20k + a month for developers and don’t want to pay $200 for an AI plan If devs have to ration the usage, they’ll stall and or use cheap models that burn time and introduce bugs

@SarAllyce Irks me: drive-throughs. Folks sitting in a long Starbucks car line for 10 minutes vs getting out and walking 50 feet to pick it up inside.

@murphyrl71 @WatcherGuru Not saying it does. But, he could demand to find the leakers that are profiting this way because it gives the appearance of corruption. Wouldn’t you want to know who is tipping people off on all these foreign policy announcements? The perception of corruption took down Orbán.

JUST IN: $760,000,000 worth of oil shorts were reportedly placed 20 minutes before President Trump announced the Strait of Hormuz was open.

@ShamashAran @brianeharrison idc on the issue per se, but I’m not buying the safety angle of the guy’s argument. Dangerous drivers are inattentive, intoxicated, driving too fast, etc. I’d say the language proficiency has little to do with. I think I could be a safe driver in Germany, for example.

True. I'm leading the fight for ENGLISH ONLY driving exams!... This shouldn't be "controversial." From KXXV: A few days ago, State Rep. Brian Harrison made a post on Facebook calling the offering of driving exams in Spanish a "betrayal." Harrison is pushing for the exams to only be available in English. Harrison told 25 news he was “outraged” to find out that, not only is it allowed for drivers tests to be administered in a foreign language, it’s also specifically required by state law. "There is empirical data," he said, "and it’s intuitive, the danger to Texans of allowing non-English proficient drivers on our roads. It jeopardizes the safety of my family, my neighbors, my constituents."

@murphyrl71 @WatcherGuru I think people are pissed because there has been essentially no FTC or SEC investigation into these amazing trades that seem to occur before major Trump announcements. He could demand them, but doesn’t. But checking Pelosi’s stock trading is swift and severe (as it should be).

Why are so many of you assuming it was Trump or someone in his Admin?? You think he was the only person who knew about these things? Show the proof of who is responsible or stop with the BS accusations. This is part of the problem now days! Too many people blindly believing every little thing some random person posts on social media! When did we stop demanding facts & evidence and start settling for accusations & feelings??

@Pastor_Ken_CBC @RLHeinrichs @CliffordDMay It should be, but isn’t. Hence the congressional sycophancy which does nothing to improve the quality of decision making and actions out of this country. And those with a lot to lose (e.g. @RLHeinrichs) will tread lightly too.

Again, POTUS makes clear that the US is against the regime, not the Iranian people.
Rapid Response 47@RapidResponse47

.@POTUS explains to a reporter that the Iranian people yearn for freedom: "We've had numerous intercepts, 'Please keep bombing' ... and these are people that are living where the bombs are exploding... they want freedom. They have lived in a world that you know nothing about."
