@FCB_Cartel @sama Codex is working well for me. Maybe it’s because I know my way around it. (I didn’t feed it any skill files)
English

Codex in the last 3 days has been a nightmare. Hallucination after hallucination, writing so much unwanted code, creating things that are not at all intended, taking too much time and burning tokens unnecessarily. Especially
/goal.
@sama something is wrong. It burned 50% of my Pro plan tokens for the week in 1 night creating a PR of size 104k lines and when asked about the PR : it said it’s useless and cleared the whole PR and closed it.
English

@FCB_Cartel @sama Can I ask what kind of exit criteria you’re giving? I’d love to see an example. DMs are open. (I’m on the codex team)
English

@OliwierMako @sama Good idea! But this only works when the human is right there waiting for checkpoints, but i usually run /goal when i go to sleep to get some boring tasks done while i'm asleep.
English

@OliwierMako @FCB_Cartel @sama You mean like commits? Just tell it to make commits on a branch as it goes?

Tv is the only type of screen my kids get. I have a 3yo and a 5month old. The latter gets no time. The former gets to watch most of the time when he wants but still prefers to go outside or go play with some toys rather than watch a lot of the time.
Denying them will create the addiction you so strongly fear.
That said don’t let them watch crap tv. Educational stuff where possible :)
English

Dads... I need your advice.
As a young dad myself, I’m genuinely worried about my son growing up addicted to screens, phones, games, etc.
It feels like EVERYTHING is designed to grab their attention these days.
So I want to ask:
- How do you actually manage screen time in your house?
- What’s worked for you?
- What’s failed?
Would appreciate real answers from people who’ve been there 🤝

@badlogicgames @AndrewK404 And then there are slop junkies like you who can’t stop being loud about it :) and I think that’s beautiful.

Really liked his idea @JagexRyan
This location no longer needs to be instanced.
Everyone should see different building stages depending on their own POF & ports progress, but otherwise its fine to see other players.
There should be a gate in the wooded area north of ports which leads to a housing district. Clicking on the gate takes you to instanced POH's (like the current POH portal does).
This place should categorically be a hub for various "player owned" content, present and future.
Rename this place to player owned village. Make it look nice with roads and wildlife.
This should be done as part of the fabled "decluttering the overworld" project.
For now, the only thing to de-clutter from overworld is POF and that's fine. Its placement in Ardougne is an eyesore and it messes with game scaling a ton by being huge relative to surrounding buildings. North Ardy needs to reclaim its forest just like Falador. POF is one of several things that needs to be relocated.
It'll be tempting to put many utilities and features into player owned village, but be strict about stuff that's off-limits. GE and PvM hub stuff should not be considered for example. Just do enough to de-clutter the overworld and make it a social space for people to hangout and chill.
Pass it along to the POH rework and overworld declutter devs!

If you’re using AI for game development. The best way isn’t to ask it what you should do, but rather tell it what you plan to do and ask it to tell you all the reasons you shouldn’t. If you disagree then you know you’ve got something decent to figure out. If it brings stuff up you haven’t considered then you can adjust accordingly.

@Vathreon @artificialoxyg1 @haydenbeamish What you’re saying is you’re a trained scab. My tax money pays your family’s medical bills. How did you actually learn to scab off other tax payers? School didn’t teach us. Your parents taught you? Like a fucking gypsy family. No wonder you vote Labor.
English

@artificialoxyg1 @gopricette @haydenbeamish Yeah this person arguing with you is an idiot. We have health insurance and pay nothing on hospital bills. Not to mention that you just go into the public system and still pay nothing if you can’t afford it. You just have to wait longer unless it’s life or death.
English

@gopricette @haydenbeamish My dad had a stroke
Emergency admission, then three weeks in hospital in a private room
It cost him and Mum $250
Try not lying
English

@haydenbeamish In the US you’d spend more than that a year in health care so I mean we have it better.

@DatShokotan @RuneScape I’m a bit of a spender. I totalled about 4 grand while TH was there lol

The fact that you guys are willing to be directed about the future of microtransaction products from RS Reddit, a community consisting 99% of virtue signalists who refuse to open their wallets no matter what tells me everything I need to know. You guys are unserious.
IF you want to conduct true market research then you will do so on a platform where internal data can be used to verify the real spending habits of people who have strong opinion on MTX. In other words, you need to conduct an in-game survey (aka market research) which requires logging in to your RS account to make sure people actually put their money where their mouth is.
What do you get from reading through all these Reddit comments? Your employees are wasting time!
Lets not sugarcoat it - Reddit is an anonymous space. Lots of people on it say fuzzy nice things and hypotheticals that have ZERO correspondence with how much they actually spend in-game. I GUARANTEE that if you had access to internal data on all those Reddit commentors then you will find that 90% of people have either never purchased anything other than a subscription or have only gotten double daily TH keys here and there, and that's it.
"I will spend money if so and so conditions are met" is a false promise made in every gaming community in existence. The only guarantee are from consistent spenders. Typically the people who spend heavy also know exactly what cosmetics and marketing strats you need to make to get more consistent customers.
We are in the middle of a cosmetic grounding integrity rework. You are asking for cosmetic suggestions from Reddit right now and the comments are going to suggest things that point in that direction. It won't be anything they'll personally purchase though. It will be imaginary things that they want other people to wear. The best things are going to get downvoted by people who won't spend a dime.
You should conduct an in-game survey that opens up with "How much have you spent in 2025 on RS3 MTX outside of subscription purposes, and which year did you spend the most?". Aggressively filter out survey responses from anyone that has spent less than a certain amount in a given timeframe ($50/year?). Such people are unlikely to ever make a purchase anyways and diluting the response pool like that is not good for profits.
You should conduct your market research seriously. If you really want a business to stay afloat in a post-TH era then you should look for the whales and ask them what type of cosmetics they'd want. They will put their money where their mouth is and the opinions will be more realistic than whatever anon Redditor says.
This is for you @JagexRyan. Bring this up to Mod North and he will agree with you. Sincerely, a whale. Moo!!

@namcios Honestly just looks like they plugged into openAI

People talk, listen, watch, think, and collaborate at the same time, in real time. We've designed an AI that works with people the same way. We share our approach, early results, and a quick look at our model in action. thinkingmachines.ai/blog/interacti…
